May 12, 2021 Certa Pro painters asked to come a day early so that they would be free to paint an outside job the day that my job was scheduled. I agreed...I was told it was $50 per hour extra for wallpaper removal. I had all the wallpaper removed, glue was the only thing left for them to remove. The wall that they removed glue from is 8" by 12". They are saying it took professional painters 16 hours to remove the glue. I have written numerous emails stating the times of arrivals which doesn't add up to 16 hours in total for the whole job. They continue to insist that I signed the back of their folder, when I signed the folder it was that I was "Good with the Job" nothing else was on the folder.Business response

A copy of the proposal she accepted is attached.
We include the time and materials at a per man hour rate. This time includes, travel, paint store time and time spent on the project. It also includes removal of the glue, prep and conditioning the wall to be "ready to paint".
We ask our customers to sign off the job before we consider the job complete. She signed the job folder indicating 16 hours was correct. We often find that customers want the extras completed and then argue about the price, so we created a sign off for this reason.We had been willing to negotiate on the pricing back when the work was completed, however we have not been able to communicate well with the customer. We recently turned over the matter to a collection agent and now we can not change the amount as it is in their hands.

I am rejecting this response because:
I have tried to explain that first, the folder had NO "time" filled in and unless you worked for Certa Pro the heading on the folder is meaningless. I signed that I was "good with the job". Second one of the men painted, he did not remove "glue". Third, 16 hours to remove glue (the wallpaper was already removed) is an exuberant amount to charge to remove less than 80 square feet of glue. They were literally spraying water and wiping it off. CertaPro DID NOT offer to work we me earlier on an adjustment.Business response

I emailed ******************** and offered a deal and she responded she accepted. The deal involved both parties taking an action item. We are waiting in her action items to be completed.Business response

I have emailed with her and she indicated she was satisfied and should be considering this matter closed.
