I paid $430 for an ankle tattoo in July. It came out horrible, it was overworked and underworked. The manager agreed to have someone else cover it up. I was then told at the appointment that I needed to pay for a tattoo because the 2nd artist wouldn't work for free. So I paid $1400 for a shoulder/arm tattoo. He did a couple hours of work the first day, in which I was required to pay in full. A few hours the next day and then had to wait for it to heal. The tattoo was so overworked it became infected and scarred. The tattoo artist started doing meth and couldn't come to work for a few months. The manager gave me excuses and ignored me during this time. When the artist was finally okay enough to come back they made me go back to him. He overworked it to the point of scaring for a second time. I told them I refuse to let him tattoo me again. They have artist #3 then agree to fix the TWO tattoos and they don't pay him to do it. As a gesture of my gratitude I gave him $400 to touch up another tattoo I had so he wasn't completely working for free. He did a little work on the arm and a little work on my ankle. Neither is complete nor is the touch up I paid for. The work he did on forearm also became infected, they do not clean between clients so when I touch the chair I touch everyone who's been in it. The artist has stopped going into work and stopped communicating with me. The manager tells me he will have him reach out but he's already not shown up for two different appointments I made with him and now the artist isn't communicating with me at all. I have 3 incomplete and scarred tattoos, I want these tattoos finished to an acceptable level or my money back to pay to have them fixed somewhere else.

      Business response

I am going to be as "tactful" as I can in response to this complaint. It is full of inaccuracies beginning with what she was charged for each tattoo. I only clarify the pricing as the first example of dishonesty which will lead into the rest of the fallacies.

She paid $350 for the ankle tattoo that she references and $1200 for the upper arm tattoo. She also has absolutely no basis of knowledge for what any artist got paid by the shop to work on any of her tattoos.

Her portrayal of the situation with whom she refers to as the "2nd artist" is not accurate in any way.

He did not miss a single day of work and her representation of his drug usage is inaccurate. She entered into a romantic relationship with this artist that he decided he did not want to pursue after a short time together.

She would not leave him alone and he was forced to block her on social media and text. He did not avoid her due to the tattoo. This had nothing at all to do with the tattoo. He used the term "stalker" in connection to her attempts to communicate with him. She came into the shop multiple times when he was working and he refused to speak with her so she is well aware that her claims of him not being at work are false.

Out of respect to both parties I will not go into further detail about the relationship other than to reiterate that the gentleman did not miss a single day of work. We can provide proof of this if needed to confirm the fallacy of this claim also.

As far as any tattoo being scarred, she already had significant scarring on her upper arm from wounds that appear to be from "cutting" but once again I do not like to put that type of information in the public domain other than to once again impeach her false claims.

Her claims that her tattoo became "infected" are also an exaggeration. However I will politely decline from commenting on her level of personal hygiene other than to point out that we tattoo in a sterile environment and cannot be held responsible for the level of cleanliness that any client maintains after they have departed our shops.

Overall I would estimate that this young lady got approximately double the amount of tattooing than she paid for. Due to previous scars and tattoos, there is only so much we can accomplish and this was explained on multiple occasions.

The third artist she commented about absolutely went above and beyond. When he had to miss work for the birth of his child she even expected him to not only reach out to her but literally leave the delivery to come tattoo her.

When this did not happen she proceeded to interfere with his personal life.

We have taken care of this situation well beyond what any reasonable person would expect. Due to her involving herself in the personal lives of our artists and making other false claims, we are no longer willing to work with this person regardless of the amount of money offered by her.

We strictly follow all ******************** standards and exceed them. We always sterilize our stations in between tattoos and the *** has even recently been on premise to confirm that this is indeed true.

Our waiting room does not have a view of any of our booths. There is no way that she could ever substantiate this false claim. This is another instance of her grasping at reasons to continue to see our artists in my opinion.

She even has accused my artists of not wrapping the cords to their tattoo machines when every single one of my artists uses a wireless model.

It is unfortunate that she did not find a lasting relationship with any of our artists. We have done all that we can and I hope that I have been able to accurately convey the circumstances behind this false complaint without revealing any information that we feel would be embarrassing.

In conclusion, I do not have a single artist who is willing to work with this client and hopefully by reading the extremely condensed version everyone can draw their conclusions as to why this is.

      Customer response

      02/26/2024

I am rejecting this response because: I stopped reading after finding several flat out lies. The amount I listed is a little bit different because of adding tips I added so Im not sure why they would make that up. I did not enter into a relationship with the second artist, nor did I ever stalk or harass him. I ended communication after he couldn't give me an answer as to what we were doing with the tattoo he was supposed to be fixing. He did not show up multiple times for appointments. I am not sure why they would lie about that either. I watched him do crystal **** when I went to his house because he told me he needed me to take him to work or he couldn't go in. He still didn't go in.

**** did not go above and beyond for me. He did that for the shop. I paid him. He was only giving me what I had already paid for. And didn't even finish work he was supposed to do. I have proof of multiple appointments he didn't show up to as well.

The place where my tattoo scarred is not in a place that was ever cut by me so I'm not sure why they would feel the need to add that in there other than putting my personal business out there.

I can't add all the proof I have because it wouldn't let me. But I watched him do ****. He told me ***** and ***** knew he was doing it. **** knew he was doing drugs and still made him tattoo me. I am ready and willing to swear all of this under oath.

I didn't address all of the ridiculous claims made because I don't have that essay in front of me to respond to everything individually.

I have multiple tattoos from other shops that didn't get infected only this shop.

I paid for work that was never completed and what work was done was unacceptable from a professional tattoo shop. I've had multiple people look at my ankle and tell me they have no idea what he was thinking or going for because it's so bad. He got so high he couldn't even speak to me by the end of the day so I'm not surprised he messed up. The artists are allowed to smoke weed at the shop and go back to work.

I will be using for the unfinished work and what it costs me to fix it

I will be suing for you allowing your workers to tattoo under the influence of drugs

And tell me how your shop is sanitary when you got a dog running around? ********************* was even disgusted by your shop conditions and left
