      Problem: I contacted the Mechanical Man on May 12, 2022 for a service call to find out what was wrong with my AC. I was told that a service fee of $89.00 and the service tech would diagnose the problem and advise what they find. The tech was here and within 10 minutes tells me he will inspect and then come in with options to repair! Options? The tech comes back and tells me the capacitor was bad. Then hands me his tablet to select my options! Really? Ok on the tablet are several choices. First was the tab called a Band-Aid for $378.00 followed by a Bronze, Silver, Gold and then the Platinum of over $1,200.00? I told him that even the Band-Aid was too expensive and was going to select it. But was then told by the Tech that I should go with the Bronze at $578.00 because if he outs the capacitor on he was done and could not check for further issues unless I paid more money at that time. So being forced to pay more for a service call that the $89.00 was to tell me what need to be fixed was now putting me in a position to pay $378.00 and leave still broken AC? After he left I waited 24 hours to call and talk with the owner Mr. ***** ******. He was in Indy and would call me later. Well I called back that afternoon and was told he would call me on Monday, May 16th. No call! Get the bill in the mail on June 2, 2022 and call him again. Again they will have him call me! No call back again so just finished another call today at 9:15 AM and again he was in a meeting on June 3, 2022! As far as I am concerned this business practice is unethical and I will also be filling a complaint with the Indiana Attorney General's office

      We resolved this matter with ****** by him dictating the price that was reasonable to him.  We believe this is taken care of as we have not heard anything else since we discussed this with him.

      This complaint was filed before the business responded to my phone calls and was settled already! I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
