Travel trailer purchased February of 2023.Initial blow out 07/23/2023, second blow out on 08/31/2023 and latest blow out 04/21/2024.On the last blow out on the ** side rear of my travel trailer, that wheel now has a flat spot. The travel trailer has significant damage to undercarriage, wheel/fender *****, power slide out and electrical for the slide out.I experienced three blow outs on *********** ST225/75R15 tires on five different outings with my travel trailer. Prior to every trip I check/adjust tire pressures according to the tire placard on the vehicle and torque all lug nuts to OE specs. On two occasions, the blow out occurred on Sundays and it was necessary to purchase tires in order to make the return trip home. My travel trailer has significant consequential damage due to the multiple blow outs. Lionshead tire will not reimburse me for tire replacements or consequential damages to travel trailer or wheel.I am seeking reimbursement for the tires I needed to purchase due to faulty tires, a replacement wheel and my travel trailer repaired.

Customer has been reimbursed for 4 tires.  Our terms of warranty state that our resolutions would be to replace defective product only.  However, at times we have expanded our warranty resolution to include a $ reimbursement.  The reimbursement is based off of our cost structure, not what the tire shop or company is charging.  The reimbursement is for $69.30 per tire, $277.20 total.

Also, as stated in our warranty policy, consequential damages of any kind are not covered.  i have attached a copy of our warranty policy.

I have had nothing but problem with the installed tires on my new 2020 ********* wilderness ****kl travel trailer and have already experienced 2 blowouts and have replaced all 5 tires because their defective. Thats why Im requesting replacement cost for the 2 tires on this claim form dated 09/20/2023. The tires Im requesting the replacement cost have not blowen out because I removed them from the camper. The replacement cost I received for the 2 blow outs on October 18, 2022 and June 27, 2023 did not cover the replacement cost for the new tires I purchased. I purchased my first camper in 2006 and sold it ******************************************************* place with no problems. Because Im not able to use the remaining 2 tires Im requesting a check for the replacement cost. As mentioned, I do not trust these ******** sports tires and feel that the tires are defective and a major safety.I have been working with the warranty manager ************************ @************. Email: *************************************************************** The warranty is for defective products only and I feel that my situation meets those criteria's. thanks

My supervisor has been out of town on business the past couple of weeks so I will hopefully have a response today.

I spoke with my supervisor.  I can do a Goodwill reimbursement for the remainder of the 2 tires.  Our reimbursements are based off of our cost structure, which would be $105 per tire, $210 total.  And there will be no more further warrantable items.

I will submit this to my accounting department today.  The check process takes about 4-6 weeks.

I purchased a camper about 10 years ago, but the wheels have a lifetime guarantee against defects in materials. One of the wheels failed while the camper sat in my driveway earlier this summer. The tire went flat (while sitting in my driveway) When I noticed the flat tire, I removed all of the rims and replaced all 4 of the tires. That is when we noticed that the rim was oblong. I contacted ******************* (she handles warranty claims) She said this isn't a warranty issue. I asked what would be considered a warranty issue, and what would be the reason that the rim bent. She ignored my questions. I need another rim to match the existing set. She told me to contact her retailer, ************. I have not done that yet, because I believe it should be covered under warranty. ******************* has pictures of the ruined wheel. Please help. *********************

Mr ***** purchased this unit in June 2013.  The attached picture confirms the wheel failed due to severe impact or curbing.  The shape of the missing piece and the additional deep scratch marks around the area support this.  Further, there is a compression of the wheel bead just beside the subject area, further indicating impact.  This type of damage is not due to a manufacturing or structural issues and is not covered by warranty.

      Customer response

      09/05/2023

I am rejecting this response because:

I never hit a curb or had any such impact.  ************* on the rim is from the weight of the camper as it sat in my paved driveway on a flat tire.  The broken piece of the rim is from the wheel machine, and the scratches are actually from the tire iron, because it was a very hard time getting the tire off from the oblonged wheel.

I admit that I do not know how long the camper sat with a flat tire, but it couldn't have been more than 2 weeks because we had already used the camper.  When I saw the flat, I immediately jacked up the camper and removed and replaced all 4 tires, because I noticed that the wheels were getting dry rotted.  I do not make it a habit to try and get something for nothing, and I would never lie about what had happened.  If I hit a curb and it broke, I wouldn't even have tried reaching out for help in getting another matching rim.

I would even settle for paying for half of a new rim, or getting one at cost, or some help in getting one, but the most important thing is that I need a matching wheel for my camper.

When I asked for an explanation as to why it wouldn't be covered, my question was ignored.  Now I see the reason why, and that is actually not the case in how the wheel was damaged.

       Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  They are going to provide me a wheel at cost for $79.60 plus shipping.  I am happy with that.  Here is the email from ******************* at Lionshead : As a one time deal, LH is allowing you to purchase the wheel at cost.
The price will be $79.60 plus shipping.
I will need to know your shipping address to give you an estimated shipping cost.  Once I know that, I will need your credit card information please.
      Thank you.

      Thank you.

Hi, this is in regards to Complaint ID: ******** . I accepted what they had to say, but they have not followed through on getting me the correct wheel yet. They sent me the wrong size wheel and I have tried to contact them for the last 2 weeks with no response from *******************. I really don't think the BBB should close a case just because I accept what they say they will do. I wish you wouldn't close the case until you see it through until the end, and make sure everything is satisfactory. Please re-open the case until and send ******************* another message to get this resolved. Thank you, **********************

I have just responded to the customer telling him that we would issue a *** return call tag for the incorrect wheel but before we can ship the correct wheel out, I will need his credit card information.

      Customer response

      10/18/2023

I am rejecting this response because:

I have not yet received the correct wheel, so I can not yet say that the problem has been resolved.  I have paid for my wheel, ******************* has told me that it will be shipping soon, however I do not have the new wheel, or a tracking number.

The following has been copied from an email **** sent me on October 12th:

      Subject: RE: Wheel warranty claim

Thank you *****, this order has been processed and here is your receipt.  The wheel should ship out tomorrow.

According to this email, they should have sent out the wheel on Friday October 13th, and it should hopefully be arriving soon.  When I do receive the correct wheel, I will then be satisfied.  As of now, Lionshead Specialty Tire & Wheel, LLC has not satisfied their requirements.

I apologize that this is taking so long, however, I can not make them go any faster.
