My fiance called Granger Dental and Orthodontics for a dental appointment for me because we received a postcard coupon in the mail that said New Customers without Insurance receive a Exam, X-Rays, and Cleaning for $125.00. When she called, she informed the receptionist of the coupon and verified that a cleaning was included. I went to my appointment on July 5, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. and arrived 45 minutes early to fill out paperwork. I was given and exam and x-rays. Then I was told that a cleaning wasn't going to be done because it wouldn't "help my teeth", although I haven't been to the dentist in over 23 years and it was explicitally in print on the coupon. I told the staff that the entire reason I came in was because of the cleaning portion of the coupon. They said it would be another $539.00 to do a deep clean. I told them I wanted the basic cleaning that was included in the coupon. They refused. I paid the entire $125.00 even though I did not receive a cleaning. This was a bait and switch scam. When I checked out the receptionist told me this "happens all the time and people get really upset". I want a complete refund and a formal complaint lodged against this business for deceptive marketing and bait-and-switch practicies and also not receiving services.
