Refund and Exchange Policy
  • Our tree care business is service-based, involving plant health care treatments, tree inspections, tree risk assessment, diagnostic work and/or laboratory sample collecting, consultation, and follow-up. We expect prompt payment upon completion of our work. Under rare circumstances (i.e. where a substantial quantity of materials, products, and/or equipment is required and must be purchased prior to the start of a major project) will we accept (or require) a partial or full payment up front. All services require a written agreement which can be as simple as a client emailing back their approval of an electronic bid. This establishes an "In Good Faith" business relationship. We do not currently have a refund policy. If a client expresses dissatisfaction of a service they have agreed for us to perform, then we will make every reasonable effort to resolve this. Of course, in the case of prepayment and the project is cancelled before it begins  at no fault from the client, then a refund, less applicable fees (not ours), will be issued.

QUOTES EXPIRE IN 30 DAYS: Our Arborist Services estimates are based on the anticipated duration and/or difficulty of the service(s) quoted and on the assumption that unexpected circumstances that could prolong or deepen the scope of work will not be encountered. If significant additional time or expense is necessary, we will make every effort to contact the client via a mobile device (text message, phone, and email) to document and discuss the situation prior to taking any other action. If the client agrees for us to proceed, our service fee(s) will be adjusted accordingly, if applicable. If we are unable to receive a response from the client within the allotted project time frame, as may be estimated in our quote or notice of service, work on the applicable project(s) will cease before any additional costs are incurred beyond the original quotes (unless the client had given us carte blanche at the time they approved the work estimate). After 30 days of the quoted estimate, certain services may become unavailable or otherwise discontinued and associated fees for eligible services may increase or decrease, without prior notification.

PAYMENT FOR SERVICE(S) and LATE PAYMENTS
Invoices will be sent via PayPal and are due upon receipt. We also accept payments by cash or check however the latter my require I.D. on larger projects. At 30 days, clients with invoices that are still unpaid will receive a courtesy reminder email. At 60 days, there may be an additional late fee of no less than $15.00 added to an unpaid invoice, unless the client has made contact regarding the delayed payment and special arrangements have been approved in writing (e.g. electronic communication via email) waiving the fee for late payment. Past due invoices, including payment of any applicable late fees, of 60 days or more may result in suspension or cancellation of remaining PHC services and disqualification for future services offerings, and may be subject to litigation.

CANCELLATION of SERVICE: For documentation purposes, once a client has approved of the recommended treatment(s) from an estimate, particularly a service that entails more than one application, then and after the first service(s) have been performed, if the client does not wish to continue the treatments (i.e. the client wants to cancel their PHC service(s)), then the client must confirm cancellation in writing via a letter (or email or text message) or by phone (-can leave a voice message) no less than 24 hours PRIOR TO the next PHC treatment so that we will not waste a trip out to the property worksite. If the client do not cancel in time prior to our service call and we make the trip out to the property worksite, the client will be invoiced a minimum $75.00 trip charge. If, however, any treatment service(s) were completed on that service call, than the cost of the performed services will be billed to the client instead. Past due invoices, including payment of any applicable late fees, of 60 days or more may result in suspension or cancellation of remaining PHC services and disqualification for future service offerings, and may be subject to litigation.

SERVICE GUARANTEE “Can you guarantee… this or that?”: We can NEVER guarantee, nor predict: client cooperation or cultural practices, other services’ activities (that may negatively impact the plants under our care), pest & disease outbreaks, wildlife & domestic animal activities, adverse climate conditions, nor anything else beyond our control. We also can not guarantee any tree will fully recover or even live to its potential. ALL trees, even within their same species, are unique biologically, and will eventually die. Our goal, task, and strong desire is to help urban trees live closest to their potential, given their species and circumstances. The reason our profession exists is because the majority of our service calls are to address trees that have already fallen into decline. Commonly, these have a history of poor planting, poor maintenance, poor cultural practices, and/or a general lack of attention until they start looking bad. Therefore, as environmental and climate changes continue to occur, as state and federal regulations governing plant health care chemicals fluctuate and public influence groups affect those policies, and as my profession continues to benefit from ongoing scientific research & studies, we reserve the right to modify or cancel any service offerings, without prior notice. Thus, some services may become unavailable due to discontinuation of related equipment or products from suppliers or manufacturers or prohibitions to complete these services.
