Would like to report this as fraud incident as insurance payments were collected on an auto repair and the job has not been completed and the job that he has done thus far is not satisfactory; yet insurance checks have been cashed. Sequence of incidents: Contacted **** Street on 2/27/22 about auto repair and asked if he was willing/able to provide service for the car, and he said yes, and he would have his tow truck pick up the next day. Tow truck picked up the car and took to shop on the 2/28/2022, however, I later learned that he was not in town and repairs were delayed. Repairs did not start to take place for 1-2 months later (with no updates to me as the customer), and also, the insurance company tried to get in touch with him, but initially he was not responsive until he received the first check from the insurance company. He stated car parts were on backorder, which I understood and waited patiently, but he still never attempted to locate parts outside of the initial try, and I ended up locating the parts on carparts.com and dropped off on 5/13. On May 18th, I received a text from the insurance company, and was informed that the car would be ready on May 23rd. However, the car again was not ready. It was noted that he stopped working on the vehicle BUT he continued to collect the insurance checks. Also, they could not find the car key and I am still without my car. Also waiting on the lot for an hour, watching someone walk through the lot to look for the car keys which were still not found. I ended up having to call a locksmith. Moreover, the repairs are still not completed and what is, is unsatisfactory. For example, the paint did not match; hood is not aligned; and there are scratches on the hood that were not there before.
