We purchased a used 2006 Chevrolet truck "as is" for $6,500 from XL1 Motorsports on May 28th. The truck was in the shop June 11th and we were told the transmission lost the 3rd or 4th gear and is so rusted in the underbody that they can't put a new transmission in for fear of it snapping the rusted truck frame in half. All the parts underneath are so rusted out no shop will even do repairs on it. XL1 Motorsports talked us out of a warrantee and said it wouldn't be worth getting one because the truck wasn't worth covering, so we eventually declined. Now, because we purchased "as is" with no warrantee, they won't do anything for us even though we've only owned the truck for 2 weeks. XL1 Motorsports has a mechanic shop attached to the dealership and I believe they knew it had all this damage to it already, but chose not to disclose it when the truck was purchased. There are no notes or inspection reports or anything in the contract and none were shown to us when we signed our contract. There are several other reviews on ****** saying similar things with very similar stories to ours, that people were sold faulty and not roadworthy vehicles from this dealership and were denied any help from them. This business is very shady and now we cannot afford to get another vehicle because we are locked into a loan for the truck that we can't drive. This dealership should be looked into. This is a link to the report from a mechanic (not XL1 Motorsports' personal one) and attached is a photo of the estimate to rebuild the transmission (the mechanic said it would cost even more to get a new one if they could even install it without risking damage to the frame), and this cost doesn't include any body or frame work.
