            On April 28, 2022, BBB requested that the business provide a response to the alleged pattern of complaint. On May 10, 2022, Renaissance Dental provided the following response:

            "In the responses to the referenced consumer complaints filed in January and February 2021, Renaissance acknowledged and apologized that the customer service department was experiencing higher than usual hold times due to an increase in the volume of calls received during annual renewal time.    The issues regarding hold times and responding to consumer emails has been remedied.  Since the filing of the referenced complaints, Renaissance’s call center has doubled its staff.  At Renaissance, we value each client and strive to provide excellent customer service and will continue monitoring the response time with regard to consumer communications."

            Renaissance dental dropped every single provider out of network except one in **. Before my appointment I called the number on the back of my dental insurance card and was told my provider was still in network. I asked my dentist and they told me they were still in the renaissance network. After my cleaning I get a $200 bill as it was processed out of network.

            First, if I could leave less than one star, I would. I am also not surprised to find out that Delta Dental opened this new company, probably to run away for their terrible reviews!! The only way Renaissance Dental excepts claim forms is by mail. I have mailed my claims in three times only to be told by the call center out of the country that they were never received and there is no claim. There is no supervisor to speak with ever there is no other address to send a registered claim to. I was also told I was not on the policy yet. I have proof that I was at the time. This company is one of the worst as well as Delta Dental was. The only aspect of customer service is that there isnt any. This company only likes to take your money or your employers money, and never provides the service of paying your claims.I will also add that the maximum out-of-pocket that they will pay per year is $2000. If you have anything other than cleaning and basic dentistry, this will be wiped out with your first visit at your dentist!!! Renaissance Dental is not worth the premium you pay to have it.
