I contacted the business due to severe pain in my mouth. I was advised by another doctor I have TMJ. When I set my appointment up I verified they took my insurance. When I went to my appointment, due to being a Saturday, was told I needed to pay $75 for the exam until they contacted my insurance on Monday. I was told I needed a $2400 treatment plan. I was told I could pay $500 out of pocket that day to start treatment. I said I would wait until Monday. I was told that ************ covered TMJ. I contacted my insurance and indeed they do. The doctor ****** submitted not complete information to insurance. When I contacted my insurance they told me exactly what they needed from the ****** to cover possibly the whole treatment if it was medically necessary. When I told the dentist ****** they told me I needed to get the information from them and submit it my self. Not my job to do. I went into the ****** march 29 with all information that my insurance needed to cover this treatment. I was told I would have copies emailed to me and faxed to my insurance within 48 hrs. When I contacted the ****** after not receiving the information I was told it doesnt matter that my insurance states they will cover the treatment I had to pay out of pocket. They dont take the effort to bill insurance companies and make people pay out of pocket themselves. There is nothing stated anywhere on their website nor in the ****** nor papers you sign that states this. So now I have to continue living in severe pain unable to sleep effects my job because they refuse to bill my insurance after my insurance stated they just needed the treatment plan along with a letter stating it is necessary and proper billing codes. This business is out for money for themselves not the livelihood of their patients. Bare minimum I would like my $75 back along with investigation on how many people they dont bill insurance and make them pay unnecessary
