      The fact that these f**** can't even keep the power on during the lightest rain of the year......? The fuck! Try to talk to support and they don't know a **** thing, I wouldn't be surprised if everyone that works there needs their mommy to dress and feed them. They don't even know how to charge their customers one month is one price, the next is less than half, then the next is double the original, call to talk about it, "I'm sorry ********* how much do I actually owe?? "Sorry sir, I can't get that information" I know drug addicts that are more reliable than these f****

      Multiple power outages. Will cut your utilities off in peak extreme temperatures. Lack of sufficient infrastructure. Its a monopoly that does not concern themselves with their costumers. As they are the only game in town.

      Their system pulled an extra payment from my account and when it was returned I was charged a returned fee. And they cant wave or remove it. All they can say is its a new system and they arent doing disconnects and late fees. But when I ask remove my bank account information, they cant access it.

      This new billing system is on a terrorist attack against customers. My budget bill has run ******* for 20 years and suddenly my bill is $42, then nothing, then $198, then 0 and now $1125.00!!WTF I call and they cant even tell me what my actual amount is due ? Who is protecting consumers? Im calling my State Senator and the mayors action line. I have been a Customer for 20 years because it is the only choice, besides being Amish, for electricity in Indianapolis.

      I sold my house in March and I have been waiting for a refund check ever since. Today is June 17. I was told the check was mailed out on May 10 , it wasnt I was told that I had to wait 30 days for a new check, that 30 days have come and gone . I was told that I would need to wait another week for a new check. Today is that week I call back and was told the check was mailed out on the 14th of June and I would have to wait ***** more days to see if I would get the check. So I guess July 2nd I will be calling back and get the run around again. You would have cut my service off and charged me an outrageous amount in deposit to get my service turned back on but yet I wait months for a refund check that I still havent received. No wonder you have such a poor review and rating number. Do better

      I have been struggling with AES for four months over completely erroneous consumption statements. What caught my attention was the first bill dated February 21, 2024, which already showed a previous balance of $30.60, for a first bill. Then, the consumption displayed for the period from January 13, 2024, to February 13, 2024, was ******* kWh for a small house of 740Sf, whereas the previous year it was 1672 kWh and at that time the house was occupied. The weather was undoubtedly colder in 2024, but the house had been unoccupied since September or October 2023. I requested an investigation (#*******) but have not received a visit report. Speaking with the supervisor seems like a dream as they are supposed to call back the customer and never do. In conclusion, my problem is still unresolved, which leads me to withhold payment until the issue is resolved.

      Tried to get service back into my name for a rental property I own. Been a customer of **************** and AES for over 20 years. After waiting an hour on the phone because the automation phone service put me in a loop, I was told I had to turn off my fraud alert on my credit agency account so they can verify my credit. Experian wont let me do that since I cant talk to anyone there. I live out of state and now must drive to Indianapolis because the website wont provide the application and I dont have time to wait anyway. When I called Citizens, it took 5 minutes to switch the water into my name. This is ridiculous!

      Overcharging customers, my bill more than doubled. I was told that there was nothing that could be done because the rates were hiked.

      AES customer service has surpassed what now used to be the worst customer service ever with ******** AES HAVE YOU FORGOT WHO THE CUSTOMER IS? Not worthy of the one star I had to to submit my review.

      I've currently been on the phone almost *************************************************************************************************************** almost 4 months and why I keep paying the bill blindly and feeling that I'm paying an excessive amount compared to the size of my house being a person that is disabled I feel them continuing to up my bill is just a way to put me into a bad situation
