August,2023 I called Barth Electric because the electric outlet serving my washer was not working. A serviceman was sent out to inspect the problem. From the time he arrived, he kept saying that he didn't know what could be the cause of the problem .What we found was that he was taking the extention cords that he could find in my basement and plugging them into my refrigerator and washer so they would work! He didn't ask us anything and left the other appliances unhooked! When he got ready to leave, he simply stated that he would need someone else to determine our problem, and we would hear from them. That was 7 months ago! There has been no follow-up or communication since then. I recently, (March 5,2024)received a bill from this company for $250 with no indication of any services. I immediatly contacted them to complain that there was no service extended and I refuse to pay this fee.Business response

****************** contacted us on August 14,2023 at 1310hrs requesting an electrician to come to her residence due to (2) refrigerators, (1) stair lift and other various items in the house not working. We dispatched an electrician as requested that same day and during the troubleshooting process, removed the refrigerators and other items from the wiring devices not working to ensure that it was not an equipment issue causing the problem. The electrician attempted to reset the breaker and it tripped immediately. To ensure that ******************' food did not expire, the electrician kept the refrigerators plugged in since this appeared to be an issue with the house wiring. Barth Electric attempted to reschedule this site visit but was unable to do so.
There is a 2-hour minimum charge for our services and when ****************** received the invoice and monthly statement she contacted me on March 6, 2024 @ 1639hrs. ****************** left a voicemail, and I contacted her the very next day at 0700hrs. ****************** was very aggressive towards me during our conversation and bullying at best. She stated that our electrician was "dumb and had no idea what he was doing" several times during our conversation. I tried to explain to her that the electrician had been with the company for 25-years and was very competent. I explained that she had contacted us, that the charges are in line with our company policy and if she refused to pay that it would go to collections at which point she started screaming that she has been to collections before. I kindly told her that I would be this conversation was over and wished her a good day at which point I terminated the phone call. ****************** called us back within minutes at which point she continued to scream at me and hung up.
Attached is the Service Call Take Off sheet documenting the date of the call, our DLM from the site visit and the invoice revised with the verbiage requested by ******************.

I definitely do not accept the response given by these scammers, called Barth Electric. I can't stop wondering how many people have been scammed by them! How many elderly people who don't know any better. I didn't bow down to their bullying, so they are not used to someone asking and questioning their shoddy practices. That is illustrated by my not hearing anything from them from August, 2023 until March, 2024 WHY???? And then they have the audacity to try and send me a ******************* to pay. ***************************Customer response

Thank you for taking my complaint. I am sorry if there was anything in my language that you may not wish to print. I have followed up with other avenues of complaint. This company has lied to me and to you in their response concerning the situation. The only problem They were called to service was the outlet for my washer, DOWNSTAIRS. My stairstep is connected upstairs and in my kitchen. ***************************
