The 1st payment for the *** flooring occurred on 6/15/22. The 2nd payment occurred on 8/12/22. The installation of the flooring began on 8/9/22. The 1st payment on the 1st repair occurred on 5/9/23. The 2nd payment occurred on 5/15/23. The repair began on 6/5/23. The 2nd repair would cost $300 if we chose to have it done, which we did not. Instead we decided to hire an independent flooring inspector to inspect our flooring, which cost us $225. To date we have paid Best Price Flooring, $10,145.22. BPF guaranteed their installation for the life of our product. Our flooring has a lifetime warranty. For an installation issue, they would repair at no charge. If the issue was a manufacturing defect, a claim would be placed with the manufacturer. There was a claim submitted for our latest issue. But I have yet to receive a copy of it even though I've requested it multiple times. The manufacturer would schedule a time to come out and assess the area, which never happened with our latest issue. If the issue was deemed a manufacturing defect, the cost of the repair/replacement would be covered under our manufacturer warranty. Well nothing will ever be covered under our warranty. Our warranty is voided due to improper installation. Furthermore, we were never even provided with the warranty until we requested it. In fact, BPF didn't even have the warranty. They had to request it from the flooring representative. So if they didn't even have the warranty, how could they have read the instructions before installation to ensure that they properly installed the flooring so that our warranty wouldn't be voided? Also without the warranty, we didn't know how to maintain and care for our flooring. Per the inspector, the flooring failed due to improper installation. Unless a moisture test was done as per the warranty and the existence of the under slab moisture barrier was verified, a vapor barrier should've been installed. To date BPF has done nothing to resolve any of our issues.
