On 11/22/2021, Fitness Flooring (FF) was paid $17,236 for ******** Bamboo Flooring (ZBF) to be installed at The Stage, a professional dance studio in *********, **. My complaint is that the company misrepresented this product. After several boards were installed, the product was tested with minimal dance steps and immediately displayed dark marks and dents. *************** told us to return the flooring material after seeing pictures. Additional research confirms that bamboo flooring has a high degree of susceptibility to scratches. The marks were not easily removed with a damp cloth and thus would not withstand daily usage in a commercial dance studio. ********'s website states simple vacuuming and weekly damp mopping is all that is needed. See website: https://www.fitnessfloors.com/zenterra-bamboo-flooring/.Additionally, the maintenance guide for ******** states: Relative humidity of the room should also be maintained at a nearly constant level of 40- 70%. See ******** Maintenance.pub (zenterrafloor.com). The average annual humidity in LV, however, is 30%. In the Summer, the afternoon humidity in LV is often less than 10%. Other websites also caution against bamboo flooring in low humidity places. Obviously, FF salesman ********************* should not have recommended ZBF for use at The Stage. *************************, owner at The Stage, was very clear in her initial conversations with ***** that she needed flooring for a commercial dance studio, including daily usage of ballroom, tap, and character shoes, in *********.For reasons listed above, and others, the Fitness Flooring Proposal and delivery of ZBF appear to be in material breach of contract, or a fraudulent misrepresentation. In both cases, The Stage believes that it can pursue damages in addition to the loss of $17,236. All flooring material was returned to FF, at their suggestion, and yet this company is now claiming absurd charges and 25% restocking fees. FF has offered $2,000 to settle, which is absurd. This Complaint has finally been resolved. Fitness Flooring has sent us a check for an agreed amount.
