Signed the agreement with All Bases Covered to get my basement finished on Sept 7th. Agreed upon price of $39,500. Was told that it would take 4 to 8 weeks to complete. It has now been 12 weeks going on 13 weeks and it's not even half way completed. Currently it's just framed and plumbing lines have been in. Electrical is just started. Goes weeks and even a month without doing any work. Says he will come out and doesn't. Lots of excuses. Work started Sept 27th, framing was completed Oct 2nd. After framing completed, he didn't come back out until Oct 26th to complete plumbing rough in. Was told he would try to get us done by Thanksgiving. That didn't happen. Now it won't even be done by Christmas or the New Year. Not even close to being completed. Nothing is being done. This has been horrible for me and my family. We were so excited about getting our basement finished. Now it has been a headache and a disappointment. I've paid 90% of the agreed upon total amount of $39,500. Paid in total $35,550. with a job that's not even near complete. No communication whatsoever. If I don't contact I won't hear from him. At this point we just want our money back from the work not done. If you can't do the job just let me know so I can find someone else to do it. I want a refund of work not completed or to finish the job. Here's the total payment schedule below:Total Price: $39,500 20% due at signing: $7,900 - PAID 30% due at start: $11,850 - PAID 20% due upon completion of framing: $7,900 - PAID 20% due upon completion of plumbing rough in: $7,900 - PAID 10% due upon completion: $3,950 - NOT PAID
