We have had Service Plus come and "tune" our furnace and AC for several years. Each time they have come, they really don't do anything other than take pictures and tell us $1,000's of dollars of repairs that need to be done. At the last "tune-up" we were give a quote of almost $2,000 to fix something on our furnace. Today I had another company come who fixed that part for $20 and a $68 service call. We have never had Service Plus actually do any of the thousands of dollars of work they recommended over the years, yet they seemed to think our furnace was on the verge of breaking down. Today the service tech said our furnace was in good shape and should last a while longer.Do not use this company for servicing your HVAC system. Their mission is not to service anything but to try to sell you thousands of dollars of unnecessary work.Another interesting thing is they were always pushing to service our plumbing when they came out to our house. We recently signed up with Service Plus to conduct yearly maintenance on our HVAC system. On the day of the appointment, I was at work, but my wife was home to allow service tech ******************* into the house to conduct his service check of our 5-year old furnace. To my surprise, my wife called me at work following his hour-long inspection only to be told that we had some serious issues with our furnace. In speaking with ******************* over the phone, I learned that our heat exchanger was completely rusted out, which was causing an increase of exactly 32% to our utility bill, according to his report. I was told the system was unsafe for operation and was due for an upgrade. Let me remind you.this furnace is 5 years old. The company quickly sent out a sales rep later that day to try and push the sale of a new $18,000 system. Relying on my intuitions though, we brought in three additional HVAC companies following ******************* evaluation to confirm what we were being told. And to no surprise, those intuitions were quickly confirmed via thorough inspection. The surface rust, which I learned is not at all uncommon, was strictly on the faceplate of the heat exchanger..NOT on the heat exchanger itself. To our relief, our unit has since been deemed completely safe and in perfect working order. If ******************* was truly concerned, he wouldve taken the additional 5 minutes to actually disassemble the area of concern to inspect further. Instead, we were conveniently lied to in hopes of making the quick sale of a completely unnecessary piece of equipment.I have always been a firm believer in honesty and integrity, and what we received from Service Plus was anything but. While I listened to my gut and avoided the pushy scare tactics and complete waste of over $10,000, I know that not all of their customers will be so lucky.Service Plus Heating, Cooling & Plumbing Response

I needed a water heater. I asked service plus for a tankless model. They gave me a quote on a tankless heater with a reciprocating pump and stainless steel tank to get hot water quicker to faucets. The model with the reciprocating pump was a A2 model. They installed the unit and that night I took a picture of the tag to get the serial number. The model number had a S2 not an A2 meaning it didnt have the pump or tank that I paid for. Called the sales manager and informed him his employees installed the wrong unit. He had the salesman call me who told me I was confused. I said you sold me the model A2 with pump and tank, but you put the S2 one in which doesnt have it. He got upset and told me the A2 is the same as the S2 model the and they cost the same. He kept saying I dont know what I am talking about. I said what does our contract say, thats the unit I want. I want the A2 you sold me. He hung up on me.Two weeks of calling them many times and being ignored every time was so unprofessional. Finally I sent an email to the owner and the next morning the sales manager called me. Two and a half to three weeks later I got the heater I paid for. I called three times to get the proper paper work with the correct serial number so I can get a rebate from utilities company, but it was a waste of time they never returned my calls. They made mistakes which I understand, because I made a huge mistake hiring them, but not fixing it and ignoring customers I dont understand. See you say the right things, we would be happy to speak with you give us a call. I called service plus over five times and got IGNORED five times. Now you apologize and want to say you would like to talk. Even when I cancelled the service contract the receptionist said she is informing her boss and he will be reaching out to me. Guess what. I would not recommend this company. I had a leak in my crawl space, that I later found out was the actual water meter (**************** replaced the water meter for free). The Service Plus tech did recommend that I contact **************** as they cannot touch the water meter. However, he told me that my waterlines/pipes were in poor condition and gave me three estimates: the first estimate was to replace my entire waterline for $6,675.90. His second estimate was for 40 feet of spot repair at $2,274.79. His third recommendation was for spot repair at the "worst section" for $850.00. I had two other companies look at the waterlines/pipes in my crawl space and they both told me there was nothing that needed to be done. Service Plus tried to sell me $6,675.90 of unnecessary work! I called the office to complain and the receptionist told me she would let the owner know. It very much felt as though she was dismissing my concerns. I also never heard back from the owner. I wish I had a better experience with Service Plus to review, however, it's rather unfortunate. I would absolutely not recommend using Service Plus, as quoted for a sink repair and pipe replacement, I was told it would be over $2600 initially. When asking to see a breakdown of where the cost came from (it seemed quite a bit higher than others quoted), I was only given vague percentages as a breakdown, not an actual materials or labor estimate. I was told I would need to speak with a manager, who sadly tied up in meetings, however before authorizing and signing for work to be completed, the techs had already sawed off and disassembled the drain pipes under the sink, rendering it useless and was charged $230+ for work I didn't authorize. I was able to hire another plumbing company, and they were able to complete the same work needed with no issues for $450. As of now, I have not yet received a phone call from a manager as promised, and I would absolutely recommend staying away as business practices, as well as pricing, are predatory, shady, and very unfair and dishonest.Service Plus Heating, Cooling & Plumbing Response

We were so excited to finally schedule our whole house replumb & tankless water heater installation with Service Plus. Unfortunately the experience we received was very different than what we expected based on what Service Plus communicated. We did our research, read reviews, got three estimates and were confident in our choice. The project started on 1/4/23 and is still not complete. It was scheduled to take 2 1/2-3 days. Service Plus stated the plumbers would stay late to complete or come in on Saturday to finish. Unfortunately that was not the case and this was only the beginning of the issues we had during the process. I understand that unexpected issues can come up during any project, and when they do just fix it, make it right, but that has not happened in our case.Timeline of the process:12/30/22 walk through with Service Plus 1/4/23 project started, to be completed by 1/6/23, not completed. Some of the Issues: Bathroom sink draining slow, bathtub no water pressure, kitchen sink gurgling every time you flush toilet in bathroom, vent under kitchen sink not hooked up, pipe leaking in basement, toilet bolts not cut down, carpet in ***************** soiled & stained from not being covered during process, Nothing was covered, debris everywhere. Pipe installed out front of house & no clean up done. Old water heater was left on wood floor for days leaving rust on floor. Plumber used our bucket, step stool, shop vac & folding chair during process. ***** listened, took notes and said the issues would get fixed.1/12/23 Sent 17 pictures to ***** per his request.Reading the Service Plus story on their website, I know this is not the experience they want their customers to have. Issues happen, mistakes are made. It is how we fix them that matters. I would love to get this resolved as soon as possible. If I could make this company a zero I would. Stay away from this scam of a company. Was quoted $79 to install part for water heater which was shipped directly from mfg to me. When tech arrived he said thats not your problem before he ever looked at water heater. He installed part and it worked until he left. Called back said I didnt want same tech. But he showed up at my door and said.. You got me even though you requested me not to come. I wouldnt let him in and have been calling office to talk to owner like website said. Hes never in I only wanted the over charge of $179 back. Well owners never been in office since 12/28z Ive called 6 days and each time Im told hes on vacation and he takes them a lot.Apparently with the overcharge! Only wanted back what was fair, Im disabled and that money was not extra. I had to borrow so I could have hot water. Service Plus Home Warranty Claim On 12/26/22 I woke up to water in my home I called Service Plus Home Warranty 4x's to notify them but no one answered. I went on the site entered a claim that same day right after I called. I was concerned and didn't want further damage or more pipes busting. I am disabled my husband 67 yrs old. We waited but no one called, texted or emailed us. We had no choice but to call emergency for plumbers hours later finally got emergency help. Plumber had to bust open the wall to find where the water was coming from. 2 pipes busted. He stated that if we don't take care of this lots more damage can occur and pipes needed to be repaired. So we had no other choice but to get it done. Charged close to $900. This does not include the wall and damages from things that were on the floor, in the closet, etc , We waited for Service plus 24 hrs later because we still hadn't heard from them. Then we received a call after I called about a technician coming over to access the issue and fix it. I had spoken with Service plus submitted receipts and pictures after they told us to fill out a reimbursement form. I noticed that when I went in the site to send receipts that it stated claim closed. what? I was in distress to see that they closed the claim what is going on? So I called and they told me to still submit it . Ok so I did then I received an email stating that I was supposed contact them first and because I didn't that I am wasn't going to get reimbursed. Why did they tell me to fill it out, send receipts and I even sent mine pictures. They were putting on a show they kept saying I didn't contact first but I did. I have a call record log and the claim that I submitted before we had emergency plumber come to our rescue because Service Plus Home Warranty didn't respond until 24 hours later after I called again. I want this resolved please help. They are scamming seniors citizens and people who are disabled that is so cruelService Plus Heating, Cooling & Plumbing Response

Hi this company call me to see if I wanted to get a free hot water flush. So I said yes and they come out to my home. And the first thing the men did was go under my kitchen sink and he unloosened something or titan something I do not know. Then he went to my water tank and flush it but not the normal way he put the water hose in to my washing machine drain, and we ask him if that was the way to do it and he said yes and proceeded to do what he was doing. When he got done and left my home we tried to turn on kitchen sink it did not work at all so. I call them and they sent the man back out to my home. And the men said the it was not something that he did and that it was my stop water valves. Then he said I had to pay the $79 for him coming back out to my home so I called them and they side that I have to pay it and he will not fix the problem. I changed out my water stopers and that did not fix it so I called them back and they side that they can not help me so I do not know what to do about it.Service Plus Heating, Cooling & Plumbing Response

Hello,There was a water leak in my two-story home that affected my garage ceiling. This company came to my house--on time, both were professionally attired to evaluate the situation. I was informed that the charge would $140.00 for them to remove the damaged ceiling and insulation in order to clear the way for them to find the cause or origin of the leak of which I agreed to (service charge run would then be omitted since they are doing repairs). I agreed to this amount. Quickly, they discovered the cause which was a tiny crack in PCV pipe. (no mention of cost to replace). They piece was replaced and I was given a bill for $975.00 for less than an hour of work (that info is obtained from their invoice).I have spoken to office personnel regarding my concerns that I never authorized repairs for a bill of this much nor was I informed and couldn't make an informed decision. I would have never consented to this costly amount once it was determined as to where the leak source was. I have emailed the manager and his reply was a copy of my bill. (duh!)Never in all my life have I ever filed a complaint with the BBB but this is excessively overcharged, and I am a senior citizen.What I would like to see come from this filing?....an apology, a refund in the amount that would have made this a fairer charge for services rendered and acknowledgment that they need to be better about informing their customers what the cost are going to be up front.Thank you,KBService Plus Heating, Cooling & Plumbing Response
