I booked a room at this hotel from 3/22/2024 - 3/24/2024. I chose this hotel because I had a breakfast voucher given to me on a prior stay. The voucher was valid and not expired and included 1 free breakfast buffet, including tax and gratuity. On the morning of 3/23, I went to breakfast. The waiter refused to accept the voucher and the meal was charged to my room. He told me to talk to the front desk. I did and was told the manager would be in at 9:00 to discuss the issue. By almost 9:30, the manager had not arrived and I left for the day. I returned that evening and spoke to the front desk again. The employee called "the person who makes all the decisions" and verified that the voucher would be accepted. She said she would credit my account so breakfast on 3/24 would be covered by the voucher. She advised to charge the breakfast to my room and the credit would be automatically applied. She took the voucher from me. The next morning, I did as she said. When I checked out of the hotel, my expense report included charges for breakfast both days. I spoke to the front desk and manager on duty. They advised they would have to verify what I told them and said to call back on 3/25 to verify everything was correct. I called back and was told by the front desk that the credit was not on my account, then transferred to the accounting department, who did not answer and has not returned my call. At this point, I want both of my breakfast charges refunded. The breakfast was very disappointing and certainly not worth the $21+ price tag plus tip. I should have received my breakfast on 3/23 for free and I would have not returned for breakfast on 3/24 had I not been told it would be free. I paid a total of $70.54 for their watery eggs and fishy corned beef hash. The only part of that amount I am not requesting a refund for is a children's buffet on 3/23. This was around $10 and not related to the voucher. The expense report does not itemize individual restaurant charges.
