I stayed at Sybaris International hotel in Indianapolis, ******* on October 13th. The very same night after checking in, I got into the swimming pool in our room and while walking across the pool, my foot got caught on something on the bottom of the pool (which we were told by the hotel manager was the loose main drain) I felt my skin rip away and immediately fell back in the water. My partner had to quickly come to my rescue and bring me up out of the pool. When lifting my right leg, blood poured out into the pool and onto the side of it. I screamed in horror. My partner grabbed as many towels as he could find and tried to wrap my right foot to stop the bleeding. I laid on the side of the pool and began to get dizzy. He attempted to help me to the bed so I didn't have to lay on the hard surface. I kept bleeding and became faint so I told him I may need to go to the emergency room. We called the hotel front desk and ******* came to our room within minutes and opened the first aide kit. She tried to stop the bleeding and wiped my foot, ungloved, with alcohol and put a wrap/bandage on it. After she left, I attempted to make it over to the bed but each time I put pressure on my foot, it bled. After getting nasceous several times and nearly passing out near the indoor sauna room where I was sitting, my partner told me I must go to the emergency room. He took me to a local hospital called Ascension and they treated me. I had to get several shots and stitches. My foot and big toe have been throbbing every single day and I can barely walk on that foot. I have to constantly take pain medicine to function and have been performing my job very poorly because I don't feel well. Luckily I work from home but my second job is in health care and requires me to be up and mobile. It's been a struggle.

On 6/20/2023 we booked a room from 12:30to4pm costing around $250.00.We arrived early but entered the room around 12:30.We checked out around2pm due to premade appointments. We expected for the cost & the value the company places on couples and relaxation to have no worries. Our guard was down.We entered the room & were excited. The room looked to be clean. We spend most the time in the pool. The bed was only touched when we took the robes off.I laid on top of all the blankets to test the comfort level for next time, because we were planning a longer stay. The towel animals&everything were never moved and looked untouched when we left. The first experience was amazing, until we tried to walk out the door to leave. The lock on the door and the door handle would not open.I turned to my husband scared. He then went to open the door. The door was not opening for him either. If there was a fire and I was alone.I would have died.He put all he could into the door to open it.It did come open but left me feeling concerned about my safety. My husband then was called by the hotel asking if we left anything. Knowing we brought nothing but ourself and my purse with my keys, phone, a pencil, Norwex wash cloth, and lip gloss. We said no, why? The hotel told us reluctantly after asking why they found keys.So I checked,my keys were in my purse. We go to dinner and have a call from the police. Asking if we left a gun. Both shocked in the middle of dinner that this was even happening.A gun was under the bed in my hotel room, is terrifying.Questions of how and if they cleaned the room.Calling them they assured us they cleaned. That they dont flip the mattress when they change sheets. Why was the mattress flipped this time? They talked in circles as we asked questions. We called corporate, they sent us back to the main hotel office.Nothing was offered but a sorry and assuring they cleaned the room, and gave police no information, but the police called us, knew our name, and knew we stayed in room 3.
