My insurance policy with Irvington insurance lapsed. I was not alerted to this fact until 10/08/2023 by a letter in the mail. I had automatic payments set up and my payment for September went through as usual. I received confirmation of this payment and an alert to my upcoming October payment but then not other communication from the company until the letter alerting me to my policy being canceled. When I was finally able to get in touch with **** he told me my September payment was returned for NSF and that they had not attempted to reach out to me or collect the October payment. I had no idea there had been an issue and the company never made any effort to reach me. I was left with no home or auto insurance for an unknown amount of time due to an error I had no knowledge of. When I was able to communicate with **** he was unapologetic.Business response

Tyla *** was set up on Auto-Pay for her monthly premium due for her Auto insurance. Her home insurance is paid through her escrow/mortgage (which was paid in full on 6/8/2023 by her mortgage company) and was not effected by this transaction. The payment was deducted from her account on the first of September by Main Street America (her insurance company). They sent her a notice of this payment via email. On Sept 11, ************************ sent her another email (attachment) that the payment was returned by her bank **** ********** reached out to her via phone and left a voicemail message after the **** **** responded to our voicemail and said she was unable to return our call. I advised her via email yesterday that her policy was able to be reinstated for a payment of $535.80. She advised she wasn't interested in doing business with us.
