      I was a guest at ************* ****************** on August 30, 2024. The water line had to be moved and the project was estimated to take 3 to 4 hours. It was scheduled for midnight. However, they did not honor this promise and showed up at 3:30 so that all the early risers in the hotel were without water.UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!

      be careful - Citizens will shut off your water during 100 degree weather if you are late on bill payment, then make you 24 hours to have it reconnected after payment (while their goon squad is sitting outside and could easily turn the water back on).I repeat, Citizens will turn off your water during a heatwave.

      WORST COMPANY !No communication, system issue from 90 days ago, shut off water.Unable to turn back on for 4 days.Account balance owed is $0.

      Last year in April of 2023, Our house burned down, and later had to be demo'ed. during the following months we rebuilt in the same exact location. Previously, we lived here for 26 years, and had our water with Citizens; on auto-pay. (they never, EVER had to wait for their money.) We moved into our new home the first week in April. The water to our residence was turned on sometime in February of 2024. Yesterday, someone from Citizens- an "Utility investigator" decided we were STEALING water, and turned our water off. Then we had to call a number and pay an exorbitant amount, for them to come out the next day to "reconnect". This amount included, a disconnect fee, a RE-connect fee, as well as a deposit. (keep in mind someone from that company had to have come and turn the water back on in February of this year.) so, because of their inabililty to record-keep, we were penalized, even though we have excellent credit and previously had Citizens for many years. HORRIBLE way to treat customers. We never spoke with any investigator.

      Our neighbor two houses down is having sewer work done and they had to turn off the water for the street. I asked the construction guys how long they were planning to do this work and turn off the water. They said "this has been planned for two weeks and you should have been notified." To get out of notifying neighbors, Citizen's lists the water outage as "unplanned." This is the second time they have done this always using "unplanned" outages to avoid their notification responsibilities.

      My bill is way out of whack. I hope when they get their stuff straightened out that they have a way of fixing everyone's bill that have been overcharged!!

      A Citizen technician left the pit lid unsecured, apparently after reading the meter, thus freezing everything up. No water for two days. When I contacted Citizens they said it is MY responsibility to pay a plumber to fix it! I had a couple of plumbers give estimates and they said Citizens should be fixing it. It cost hundreds of dollars to have it thawed. Right before Citizens got off the phone with me the representative said , Be sure to call us once you get it fixed so we can properly seal it. OMG! Well, I called them and they said they may get out here tomorrow It could freeze up again by then. I put layers of a quilt over it. Citizens is a monopoly, so they have no motivation to have good customer service.

      Our sewer bill went from $48.00 in November 2023 to $212.00 in December 2023.No one else in my neighborhood has this problem. Please help...

      I had a payment arrangement that didnt show on my bill and they disconnected me over $51.00 and then had me pay over $300 to turn back on. They didnt post anything on my door, nothing. So I thought i had a plumbing problem as in 21 years ive never been disconnected. So when the plumber came he said they cut it off. Didnt even think to call these terrible people as I seriously had no indication at all. When i talked to ******* miserable soul she was like yeah thats what they do oh ok Like what. I hope the *** of this company and his kids go without water over $50. You can waive all the extra fees when theres been no disconnect in 23 years. But citizens is greedy and customer service is pathetic.I see people say they talk to nice people here but ******. I never have in two decades. Between citizens and AES im ready to leave indianapilis. People are just rude in these companies

      They disconnected my water over a payment arrangement that wasnt showing up on my account balance(if someone has an arrangement it should show on the Home Screen of their account balance. I had just paid my past due balance and once it was paid my account balance was not past due and they disconnected my service. They then came to reconnect my water and the technician turned it on and then turned it right back off and lied as if no one was home and said that Id have to have pliers to turn my own water on because he couldnt determine if no one was home which was a lie. My 2 cars were in the driveway and I watched him through the window the whole time never once knocked on the door or anything. I had to call customer service just to have to wait hours later for no one to show up. I had to have a friend come and turn it on. Although their customer service reps are certainly pleasant, the technician lied and clearly lacked sympathy.
