3/27/2024 I didn't know my car was in repossession after missing one payment. I made a purchase on 11/14/2023 was never late even paid in advance. The reason I missed a payment was because I was helping pay for a funeral I had already budgeted to pay for my miss payment and future payment on 3/27 I get paid every other Wednesday. The repo guy pulled up as I was ******* with my three kids getting a order ready for delivery. I was only doing a delivery to get my insulin that cost $105. I asked him to contact the store to see if could within a couple of hours ***** the manager told him no. I then noticed once the no answer came the repo guy attitude change I never yelled at him like the repo *** told him. I got in the car due to panic and my kids safety the repo guy was on the left front side of the car I proceeded to move forward solely the car tapped his leg as he unclipped his holster. I drove later that evening he found at a gas station on zionsville road before anything happened I drove my kids to where we are staying only thing on my mind was to get my kids to safe a place. If they want the car they can take it. As we make it to our destination the repo guy and another man got out in my face with my kids in ear he stated I should of shot you and shoot you right now it's just a car and I told the dealership not to give you your car back at all because you tapped my leg. I stated I was getting my kids to safety you had your hand on your gun before I even drove off or got in the car. I called the next day to speak with ***** he was very rude also stated that the repo guy should of shot me in front of my kids that even though I had and have the money to pay he refused to give me my car. He stated everyone always has the money once car is repossessed to me that meant his unprofessional rude actions has happened not only to me but others. All of this over one missed payment is crazy he needs to be fired as soon as possible I should not have this on my credit at allBusiness response

We tried to contact ****************** many times for almost two (2) weeks after she missed her payment but was unable to reach her. If she would have contacted us and informed us of her situation things would have possibly turned out different. But by avoiding us we had no other choice other than to repo the vehicle. We also were informed that she struck the person that was repossessing the vehicle with the car. That didn't help her situation. Again, if she would have talked to us instead of avoiding our calls things might well have turned out different. If there is any further information you might need please let us know.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I did not strike anyone he had plenty of room to move and chose to keep coming closer as I was pulling forward there is a difference between intentionally doing something and accident. I did contact *** Skillman since my phone sim card was not working properly I contacted online chat about making a payment and whine runs the chat stated they would relay the message about me making a late payment. You guys only maybe tried by phone but I also have email as well. I did not refuse to make a a current or late payment. But the actions of your employees is utterly disrespectful and disappointing and tell someone that a repo man should have shot me in front of my kids is definitely causing me to file a court course against the company and employees

I bought a new car in October that I paid 225 for all weather matts. They told me on back order should get them in 2 weeks that was October 19th today is Dec 20th still no matts. I feel I was lied too, I was charged on my invoice for ****** dollars for these matts. If I cannot get them I asked for a refund salesman did not respond. Tried calling sales manager, he never answers his phone.i would like a resolution to this problem.Business response

I apologize for any delay. We have contacted the Dealer we got the car from today. The mats are supposed to be shipped to us and hopefully we will receive them next week. The Holidays may affect the timing. We will contact the customer as soon as they arrive. My Manager, *******************, is handling this. Again, we apologize for the delay.

I leased a new vehicle (not from this dealership) on 10/26. Immediately I noticed an issue with a suspension. I first took the car into Ray Skillman GMC on October 31st. On November 3rd, they were able to look at the car and identified a problem with a suspension component. Since then, they have had several orders into GM that have been canceled, orders that have been acknowledged and then canceled. I'm not sure what to do, but I don't feel as if I have an advocate in this dealership. I simply want my vehicle fixed so I know it's safe for my family. I do not know if the issue is with the dealership or with GM, but I do not feel as if it's being taken seriously. I do not have any method of contacting GM directly, so I am leaning on the dealership to be my advocate.Business response

We apologize for any inconvenience. The parts needed for repair have been ordered from GM. Because of the strike some parts have been back ordered. When they arrive we will contact the customer immediately to finish the repairs.

Take my car in for warranty work (when driving down the road you hear a thump thump thump continuously). They said it is normal which it isnt. Spent $5000 on 1 warranty plus more on other warranties and they dont want to fix my car. Had car for 8 months and was promised tinted windows and they still have not done it. Just want my car fixed.Customer response

I had my car towed to *** Skillman on 12/14/22 they did a diagnostic on the car and they said that I needed an accelerator peddler assembly and an evap purger valve the total cost for service would be $540.34 I paid for the service on Tuesday 12/27/22 but I was not able to pick my car up until Saturday 12/31/22 I ended up taking a Lyft to pick it up. I drove my car on the following Monday and Tuesday to and from work on Wednesday 1/4/23 I was on my way to work I started my car up and the check engine light came on before I even got out of my apartment complex before I made it to the light on 25th and post the car wouldnt accelerate properly by the time I got to the light it was saying engine power reduced I couldnt drive over 30 miles I turned around and made my way back home this was the exact issue when they supposedly fixed my car, I called Ray Skillman I spoke to **** the manger of the service department to tell him about it he didnt seem concerned, at that point I didnt even trust bringing my car back to them to be looked at. I called the corporate office the same day and filed a complaint I was told I should hear back from someone in 48hrs I waited never heard back I made a follow up call Friday 1/6/22 I was then told I would have to wait for 5-7 days before hearing back from someone. *** spent almost $30,000 with *** Skillman for my car I havent ever been late making a payment I get all of my car services done even though I always felt like they were way too expensive I just wanted to go a real car dealership in case something isnt done properly I know they would liable/responsible for fixing my car per their contract. They had just done work on my car in May of 2022 when my solenoid had to be replaced for $540 I had concerns about the service that was performed. I would like a full refund from them from the last service they performed on my car in the amount of $540.34 its only right I dont trust them to do their job at a professional levelBusiness response

Hello, my situation with them are as such; my husband was looking for a truck to purchase...long story short, last month went in to this establishment spoke with their finance ****** talked a while, now the young man we were speaking with basically forced me to run my credit for a cosigner(6) and with the knowledge of me telling him I have garnishments. Yet, what they explained to us IS NOT what the bank claims...We had the car in our possession for less than two weeks and took it back...there are three things I want cleared...1. a understanding on how they can qualify us for a ****** dollars 2020, but couldn't ( or didnt want to) qualify us for a cheaper truck?!? 2. How you read us off one price and it became something else from the bank? 3. How do you put something on a person's credit and WE HAVEN'T GIVEN YOU A DIME????? On top of that the car was wrecked....Business response
