We signed a contract with H&H Painting (*********************************, owner) to replace the flooring and handrails on our wood deck and apply two coats of solid deck stain. Regrettably, our experience with ***** and his company was a nightmare. His workers applied latex exterior house paint to our deck instead of deck stain. The finish on the deck had issues from day one of a shiny, tacky finish, followed by areas of peeling, bubbling and oozing, and finally a solid coating of white, chalky water spots all over the entire surface. After several attempts to contact ***** through phone calls, emails, sending photos of the damage and asking him to come take a look, it was several *months* before he finally admitted fault and said he was committed to fixing the problem. They then attempted to strip the deck, but after this failed we were promised the deck would be replaced...and then ***** simply stopped responding. We were left with a deck that looks old, peeling and worn. We have in writing that ********************************* stated our deck would be fixed, but this has not happened and he simply disappeared. Unfortunately, the deck wasn't the only problem with H&H Painting, as they were also paid to replace trim and repaint the house. SO MANY shoddy work issues causing us stress and requiring contact back and forth with ***** for things to be fixed and redone. He was unprofessional and slow to respond (often claiming he was on vacation, again and again) during the year-long ordeal. It appears that ***** has little knowledge of the skill level of his contractors or the actual work being performed. Issues will be left unresolved, and ***** will take your money and disappear. He will brag about his "5 year warranty", but this is a joke as he isn't even willing to fix immediate problems with the original workmanship. We have every email and text from the past year, the can of latex paint used on the deck that was left with us, as well as photos and videos as proof of everything stated here.

I apologize the customer is unhappy. I have never heard any complaints from the customer on the exterior paint. We came back when hearing problems with deck. We did try 3 different paint removers which did not remove the paint. With all this said I also never recieved a stain color from the customer via email. At. ********************** we strive to always do quality work.

Lies. You "never heard any complaints" about the exterior work? Check our text conversations from July 7 2023, July 8 2023, July 10 2023, and July 11 2023, including photos of the shoddy work. Then after several days of you putting us off and our eventual INSISTENCE that you come over and help get the mistakes corrected or the work would have to stop, you saw and acknowledged the mistakes to both of us as we walked around the house with you. You "never received a stain color from the customer"? When was this, exactly? When we provided the color name to you on July 7, 2023 at 9:31am and you responded OK? When your crew purchased the correct color on July 10, 2023? During the week of May 20, 2024 when we talked to your contractor ******, told him the color and *gave him the actual can* so he could see the label? I promised you that we kept proof of everything that happened. Your lying and playing dumb only digs you in deeper.
