My wife and i had a bat infestation problem a little over a year ago that we paid a total of $5640 dollars to have them, in there words and contract, to remove all insulation, spray a bacteria killing chemical to prevent any health issues for us breathing in the bat p*** particles, remove all bats residing in the residence(**************), close up ALL entry into the attic space in order to prevent re-infestation of the property, and lastly, re insulate the attic space. About 2 weeks ago, i came to the realization that we had another bat infestation from sounds and watching them fly from the house a dusk. where they were coming from, or whether they were actually coming from inside the house, i was unaware of until i made my way into my attic hatch only to be showered in insulation and bat droppings.I proceeded to contact Presto X to notify them that they did not do the job they promised in closing all entry into the house and we have an infestation again. to which they responded with "well your warranty for the job was only 30 days"(which i was never offered any extended warranty of any kind, let alone told that there was a warranty of 30 days).also, on a side note, bats are a seasonal animal and they did it in the winter months in which i had no possible way to know they did the job correctly until the following season when they returned to the area. The woman that was taking the call then proceeded to say "but i can schedule an appointment for an assessor to come out and give a quote on what it will cost "this time"' as if it was just a normal thing to have someone they did a job for call and complain that the job wasn't done correctly or to the standard they promised. I'm not looking for my money back unless they refuse to come back and make right what they originally promised. which is eradication of the bats, and the closure of all entry into the attic space so a future infestation does not happen. If not, i want the money to find a company that is willing.

In August of 2021 a Bat exclusion and Attic Restoration was performed by our company. All work of this kind carries a 1 year standard warranty, with an option to maintain the exclusion and update defects annually. It is standard practice to inform the customer of this option at time of sale, and after work is completed as well. I am more than happy to review and remedy the situation in a fair and amicable way. I do not find a record where the customer attempted to contact our call center, but actions will be taken swiftly to communicate with Mr. and inspect the property.

I signed with Presto-x on 02/22/23. The agreement was for $828.00 to be made in payments of $44.58 a month. My first service was on 03/06/23. And the payment they took was for $293.00. When I called to complain they said it was a set up fee. This fee is not on my contract I signed. I have been calling every two days since they took my payment and I can not get any one to call me back. The people answering the phone keep saying someone will call me back and they don't. They have also set up two more appointments for this month, when I call to tell them I have already been sprayed this month, they say OK. But it makes me think that they wanted to spray again so they could keep my $293.00. I am ready to file in small claims but hoping you all can help.

On August 4, 2022 Presto-X came to exterminate a hornets nest that was entering through my fireplace stone and into the soffit. I had informed Presto X when I called where the hornets were entering the nest. When the exterminator arrived he could not reach the nest. He asked me for a ladder stating that the company does not supply them with a ladder. It was poring down rain and I had to walk outside to the back of my barn, back out a tractor and a push mower to get a ladder for him to use. Because I had to furnish equipment to Presto-X for them to their job I called the company and asked for a manager to call me back. I was requesting a 50% refund and wanting to complain to a manager about this issue. No manager returned my call that day. I have called 3 times making this same request with no response.

On February 10, 2022, I had a home consultation with ***************************, Home Solutions Specialist for Presto-X (a *************************** regarding trapping squirrels in my attic. During the consultation, **************** got me set up for financing thru ************ and told me I would not be billed until the work was completed. On February 16, 2022, *******************************, Technician for Presto X and his assistant came to my home and set a trap in my attic and conducted an exterior exclusion. ******************** and his assistant returned twice in March and April with the last date of inspection being April 12, 2022. Beginning in March 2022 I received approximately two phone calls followed up by emails from *****************************, Accounts Payable Rentokil (parent company to Presto X), in which she left messages saying I needed to pay for the services I had received. I did call ******************** back on both occasions to explain to her that my services were not completed and that once they were, I had financing thru Greensky that Presto X facilitated to pay the ****. She did not respond to either of my calls. Once I did not get a response from ******************** with the second notification, I reached out to *************************** and asked for his assistance on the billing issue. **************** referred me to *****************, Operations Manager for Presto X. I called ************** and explained what was going on with the billing and forwarded an email from ***************************** on March 24, 2022, he said he would take care of it. On April 14, 2022 I received a text and email from ************ asking if I approve them to pay the balance of the Presto X account and I did approve it. I received an email from ******************** threatening to turn my account over to Collections for non-payment on April 18, 2022. Several emails and phone calls later this is still not resolved. Presto X attempted to charge me again through Greensky on May 13, 2022 in which I denied that charge.

I attempted to reach the customer today by phone, but had to leave a voicemail requesting a callback.  I need to perform some due diligence to determine where the process failed but will update this website with a resolution by  06/24/2022.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ******** and find that this response/resolution is satisfactory to me.  I did talk with ***************************, District Operations Manager of Presto-X, on June 21, 2022, regarding billing reflected on my account.  I explained to ********************** that my account reflected a **** that had been paid by Greensky on April 14, 2022, and I wanted my account to reflect that.  He said he would look into it and see where the ball was dropped and assured me it would be corrected by Friday, June 24, 2022.  ********************** said he would contact me and let me know when the account was corrected. Although ********************** did not follow up with me, I did check my online account on Monday, June 27, 2022, and there is a zero balance and notes that the payment was misapplied and corrected.  I did make a copy of the page that reflected the zero balance on my account.  I am satisfied that this matter is resolved.

      Regards,
