The absolute worst place to take your dogs. Almost took my pups there and I am so glad I didnt. There are multiple complaints of dogs being neglected. They need be shut down!

We had the absolute worst experience at Barkefeller and I would not recommend anyone to send their dogs there. *Long Read and to simplify, ***** is our 15-year-old Cocker and ***** is our 10-year-old mixed Pitty.We were heading to ********* for a Funeral and to clean out my Dads house. We had never boarded these two dogs before, but after looking at what Barkefeller had to offer we thought theyd be well taken care of. We scheduled the Presidential Suite for them which included access to a patio, a larger kennel, 3 private play time sessions, a tuck in at night, and a camera so we could pop in to see how theyre doing. Sounds great, right? Lets start with the kennel, our dogs never left the kennel. Meaning they were not taken out to use the restroom. Instead they were left to use the restroom by their beds. Those of you who have dogs that are potty trained generally have a guilty conscience when they have an accident indoors. Plus, this is not something I wanted our girls to get accustomed to doing. The three private play times consisted of the staff coming in to clean up the dogs messes, and a few minutes of petting. I would consider this checking on them, not a private play time. When we called to ask about the play time because we hadnt seen it, we were told they had just had their playtime and that they were sleeping. We informed them that this ***** true as we had been watching for a majority of the morning. She then informed us that she had just clocked in and would get her manager. The manager informed us their play time was scheduled in an hour. (Were getting concerned at this point). A couple hours pass, and someone finally comes in the clean up the mess and pet the dogs for a couple minutes. ***** was scheduled for a grooming on Thursday, they called Thursday midday to let us know they couldnt do it because of her age and were going to give us a day of boarding charges for the inconvenience and a free bath that last day. We declined the bath, but they gave her one anyway and charged us for it. Friday ***** was missing her bed for a majority of the day. Were still not sure why but were informed that they washed it. It smelled of death when I picked them up so Im not sure what they washed it with. All of their bedding needed to be washed when we got home, and ***** required a bath. On pickup we were already pretty frustrated, so we requested to speak with the manager (*****) when we arrived. She was currently with another guest and we told them wed wait. She refused to speak with us and had another member of staff take our complaint. Im now beginning to get really frustrated. They didnt seem to care that we were upset and called the General Manager part Owner ******** because we didnt want a future credit for the bath, they had given *****. Jordan ***** willing to budge and eventually I said f*** it, give us the **** and wed never be back. Once we were home, I was going through the dogs food and medicine. ***** was not given any of her food. Im not sure what she ate. Most of her meds were still in the individual bottles and quite a bit of Libbys meds was still in its bottle too. All in all, if you want your dogs to be put in a kennel, barely given any attention, not fed, allowed to use the restroom near their bed, then take them to Barkefeller.
