Core Redevelopment withdrew $1543 on 05-31-23 from my account for the month of June without approval. The account was supposed to be charged a prorated rate for 11 days remaining in my lease for the month of June from a regular monthly rate of $1150. Core Redevelopment is now saying that I can't get my money back until after the 11th of June. They required that I submitted a 60-day notice to move out which I did so they knew the last day of the lease would be the 11th of June.

This issue was resolved on 6/2/23.  We were going to refund the money via a check as agreed upon with the resident, but then we received notice that the payment was NSF'ed on 6/2/23.  Then the correct amount was on the ledger at it was paid via a credit card on 6/2/23.  The ledger is available upon request.

I have been living at the ******* Lofts, formerly known as the ******************* Building, for over a decade. This is my home. ******************* sent me an offer to lock into a new rate of approximately $700+ dollars, in which I've been willing to accept - all I asked is to receive the new terms in writing, but to no avail. I recently sent a new email, asking that I receive the terms in writing, again. ******************* removed the new lease agreement from my tenant portal, and drafted up a new agreement with the terms being more than double what I'm paying now. ($1339.00). I contacted ******************* and spoke to a team lead, who was very obnoxious and border line screaming at me on the phone. Over a decade of rents paid on time, and no care or incentive given. I think it is way unfair and I suspect foul play to make me move so my place can be renovated and put on the market for more money. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but was met with decline. I wish there was someone from Core Redevelopment that could advocate for an existing tenant, that's been doing successful business with the company for over 10+ years.

      Hello,

This reply is in response to complaint #********. Originally Perezi ****** was sent a renewal offer on 1/14/22, this offer is a part of our early renewal incentive program. This offer wasn't signed & accepted by Perezi ****** as of 4/1/22 when renewal amounts were increased by Core Redevelopment for any leases not signed on the early renewal incentive offer. Several renewal letters have been sent to Perezi ****** since the new April increase offers.

The ******************* building was previously owned and managed by SEND. At the time Perezi ****** moved into the ******************* building the entire building was under a subsidized rent program. This program ended for all ******* residents upon each residents lease expiration date in 2022. All newly signed leases started in 2022 have been and will be at the new market rate (not subsidized) for each apartment.

The renewal lease offer for Perezi ****** that was most recently sent is at the market rate for his particular apartment. When Perezi ****** contacted management about his recent renewal offer it was explained to him that he has 3 options :

      1. Renew his lease at the current market rent for his apartment, as his apartment cannot be renovated while occupied

      2. Work with the leasing office to find a renovated apartment at market rent that he would like to transfer into with no transfer fee

      3. Provide the office with a 30 day notice to move out. Normal notice required is 60 days but anyone coming out of the program is offered a 30 day notice only

Perezi ****** was offered the same options as any other resident coming out of the subsidized program in 2022 to comply with all Federal Fair Housing guidelines.

We value Perezi ******' & all of our other residents at ******* Lofts and will continue to assist Perezi ****** in making the decision regarding his lease that works best for him.

My lease ends with CoreRedevelopment 3/31/2021. I informed management via email that I would not be renewing my lease in June of 2021 due a number of management failures. I received a lease renewal offer in January 2022. I replied to that email on 1/26/2022. Management sent me a response that I needed to send them a form to vacate. I scanned the form from my desk at work the same evening. 1/26/2022. On the form I did not have a forwarding address yet to give management, so I wrote TBD. On 2/28/2022 I sent management an email informing them of the updated address. On 2/28/2022 management emailed me that they did not have my submitted form. They requested I forward the original email. On 3/1/2022 I sent management the form that I originally submitted. On 3/4/2022 I check with management to make sure they received the document. On 3/4/2022 management informs me that they received the document. But only the second time that I submitted this document. Not the first time. I was informed on 3/4/2022 that my original notice to vacate would not be honored. My lease ends 3/31/2022 I informed this company I would not be renewing my lease under any circumstances June 2021. The rent that I pay today for the month of March 2022 will be the last payment I make to this company. This company has a wait list for these town homes. I leave every place Ive ever lived in better condition than I found it. It will take minutes on 3/31/2022 for this place to be determined to be accofor an immediate move in for a new resident on 4/1/2022. I could have gone after this company for expenses I incurred on multiple occasions. I chose to give them a pass. I will not allow them to attempt to squeeze me for more money on a c*** home I told them last year that I would be vacating.

After reviewing the complaint, we have decided to honor the notice to vacate for 3/31/22.  The resident will not be charged after that date if all keys and garage openers are turned into the office by that day.  I have also CCd the resident on this email so that he is aware.
