The business is a property management company owned by the national company of my fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega. They have charged me for an out of house fee that was never agreed to. I do not live in the house, never have, and never will. I did not agree to any of these out of house fees. They are now threatening to send me to collections. The total fee is $250 and now $288 with late fees. Furthermore, I have been charged a chapter deposit after signing a chapter agreement. They had it setup to where you would receive an emailed invoice but could not view it without logging in. In order to log in you had to agree to something before you can see your invoices. Supposedly I agreed to the chapter deposit when I logged in, even though I never intended to agree to anything or wanted to. This chapter deposit is also due in August which is far after my graduation and membership status ending (alumni). It clearly states the deposit would be paid back after graduation but I have still been charged for it with a due date after graduation. This company has been entirely dishonest and inaccurate in how they have described anything. I am only one of many people who have had issues like this. To clarify, I have NEVER been told about out of house fees or told that they were something I would have to pay. This company has also charged my fraternity chapter tens of thousands of dollars adding up to over $100k in debt taking advantage of college students who are not accurately told the details of the situation or fees. This company is a complete con. Thank you.
