Was solicited by the owner via LinkedIn after requesting information regarding resume writing services. Was put in touch with someone (*****) who explained the resume review service process. I had a hard time finding any legit reviews, and I should have taken that as a sign this business is a scam, but went ahead and purchased a resume "package" anyway. Was promised a real human writer would be "assigned" to me based on my background. I am quite sure there was never a real person, as the resume draft provided to me had multiple spelling and grammatical errors, run on sentences, incorrect company information, and honestly seemed like it was the work of low budget AI. Was promised the resume review would include 2 revisions. I wrote back to this "person" with some edits and feedback and never heard back. Reached out to the customer service rep who originally sold me the service, as well as the owner, and never heard back. Followed up a number of times and ultimately requested a refund. TBD on if I'll ever get it as I'm certain this "business" is fraudulent.Customer response

I hired the company in May 2023 to rewrite my resume, write a cover letter, as well as make updates to my LinkedIn profile. I paid $495 upfront for these services. I spoke with ****** over the phone on May 11, 2023 but did not receive anything back from her until May 26, 2023. I was then asked to provide my login information for my LinkedIn profile which I immediately provided. I was told that I could review the draft that was sent to me and any adjustments would be made. Since then, I have heard nothing back from ****** nor the company. I have placed several calls to the company in order to follow up but have never spoken with anyone besides the intake person who takes my information.Initial Complaint

On 7/28 I placed an order with Theresumereview.com for a cover letter, resume and linkedIn profile. At this time I was working with ******* * whom I had spoke to multiple months prior. During that call we discussed how I needed a new resume as mine hadnt been completed in years, how I was looking to change industries. *he assured this was something they could assist with, they failed miserably. On 8/23 a draft was provided - besides format very little changed. On 8/24 noted were sent giving feedback. On 8/26 ***** sent back the same resume with copy and paste of what I stated which were just notes. 8/30 Emailed to note my dissatisfaction. Received no response from current writer ***** so emailed ******* my dissastisfaction. 09/3 received a response from the Owner ********. In that email it was noted that she believed my resume could be written in a more solid manner. ******** stated she would redraft to meet and surpass my expectations and to give her a few days. 9/10 still no response from ********, so sent follow up email. Once email send then received an email now from a **************************** rewrote the resume, not ********. Product still did not meet agreed upon expectations. *ent email asking for a partial $295 refund. 9/14 ******** decided to respond to me via LinkedIn vs my emails noting the approval of my partial refund.Also stating her team would be in contact to complete. 9/21 *till no communication from Mickelles team so responded to her LinkedIn email asking her to advice. Also sent an email. No response received. 09/23 *till no response from ******** on LinkedIn, let her know I had no other choice but to dispute and contact the BBB. 09/24 they sent me a notice for a $100 refund, which is not what was agreed upon. I immediately stated this was not what was agreed upon and stated I was to be contacted. Asked whom I needed to speak to regarding.09/27 Emailed again due to no response. Was threatened stating I was bullying them by continuously contact
