I purchased a used washer and dryer on 3/13/23 for $700 and paid $65 for delivery. They brought the washer and dryer and hooked everything up. Upon plugging in the dryer it threw a spark and burnt the wall plug. I called my electrician and they came the next day. They told me that the dryer was wired wrong. I did 5 loads of laundry on Tuesday March 14th and then the washer quit. At this point I not trust M&M Appliances to use their 30 day warranty so I called *********** Appliance repair. *********** came on March 15th to assess the washer. He ordered an interface which was a part that has been discontinued. He found only one in the whole US and ordered it. He came back on March 22nd to install the interface. It did not fix the issue. He then ordered a control panel which is also a discontinued part and ended up finding a refurbished one. He came back on March 24th to install the control board. The washer is working, but he has to order another part because the bleach reservoir is clogged and he was not able to clean it out. This causes the reservoir to overflow outside of the tub. On March 24th and 25th I did laundry. Late on March 25th, my dryer stopped producing heat. I made another appointment with *********** Appliance Repair. They came today on March 27th and told me that the inside wiring of the dryer was "set up to fail". There have been wires placed in between existing wires causing the control board to be fried and smoke to consume the control board. This could have caused a fire. Upon reaching out to M&M Used Appliances, they simply said "i'm sorry" and offered nothing else. They should not be selling appliances if they cannot check them for safety at the very least and offering at least part of my money back. At this point I have spent $400 in repairs for just the washer. The dryer is anticipated to be at least that if not more since it has to be rewired. I'm waiting on a quote.Business response

*************** to this complaint to let you know that person never told ** that their machines were not working, for that reason they are given a 30-day guarantee. Any problem she may have is exchanged for other machines but we never received a call from her or a Gym or anything, simply after she had made the claim she sent me a text on ******** and told me that she had already made the claim the claim and ************** being abused because we still help her take her machines down, put them in her garage and I think she should have contacted ** to let ** know the problem she was having but we never received anything or messages or calls
