We hired Norton Electric on 8/20/22 to fix two items - One was replacement of a brand new transformer in our landscape lighting system and the other was replacement of two outside electrical outlets. The worker was at our home for 1-1/2 hour and the charge was $550. We paid by check on the spot assuming both things were working properly when they left. We discovered later that night after dark that the landscape lights did not work. We called the owner back to report this. The company sent someone back out and we were told the brand new transformer (under warranty so the new one was provided by our landscape lighting company) did ot work. We took the new transformer back to the company and they said it worked. However, they were kind enough to provide yet another new one. Norton Electric came back a third time to install the 2nd brand new transformer and resolve the problem. We requested a receipt showing the itemized charges for over a month before finally getting one lacking important detail such as parts cost and hourly charge. We simply wanted to understand how the charges were so high. The owner became defensive and argumenetative when we inquired about the charges and refused to answer our questions. He implied he did us a favor by not charging us for the necessary follow up trips to finalize the job and get our lights working. We thought this was all behind us until a week or so ago when we attempted to use the new outside outlet for the first time since it was replaced. It did not work. We contacted the owner yet again who promised to come back. He never did. We contacted him again today and he said he was "finished" with us and would not come back. All we want is for the work we have paid for in full to be finished/fixed.
