After the ******19 country-wide shutdown in 2020, our company's ******* of ******************* ********* (Anthem) allowed for tele visit conferences between patient and healthcare providers at no cost to us (no copay) for the remainder of the year 2020. My stepdaughters had several phone appointments with their providers. I started receiving bills charging us for those visits. I contacted our benefits office and they confirmed through the ********* that Alpine has not been submitting the claims correctly as tele visits. Instead, they have been submitting them as regular in-person visits. I have contacted them several times (at least 10 this year) and the specialist in our benefits office has personally talked to Alpine's office manager about this. She refiled some of the claims but not all of them. We are owed money back from Alpine because they threatened to send our case to collections even though they are who misfiled the claims to begin with. The office manager is well aware of the situation and told me a month ago that she was having her employee refile the claims and I checked through benefits and they checked with the ********* and nothing was refiled. I called the office manager again and she said she would refile 3 weeks ago. I just checked again and there still has not been an adjustment. Alpine has been overpaid for over a year now and will not submit the claims correctly. The ********* cannot alter an original document, so they will not pay the difference until Alpine submits the claim correctly. I cannot force Alpine to submit the claim correctly and they have already been paid more than they should because my wife was afraid of their collection threat. Now they are clearly not motivated to resubmit anything because they have already been overpaid.
