      On April 20th I purchased a pre owned vehicle from Volkswagen of Lafayette *******. I currently reside in ******* ********. The dealership is about two and a half hours away from me. I have just completed my 3rd trip to my local *** since my purchase, in an attempt to get Illinois license plates on my vehicle. I am currently using an Indiana temporary tag that was provided at purchase. Each trip to the *** has been unsuccessful, each time due to the *** informing me that West Lafayette Volkswagen has yet to submit the required paperwork needed to obtain Illinois license plates. I have attempted to call ***************************************** many times since my purchase only to be met with a voicemail every single time. Due to my distance from them physically going there is just not an option at this point unfortunately. My temporary tag expires June 4th which is today. My goal here is to simply get assistance with getting Lafayette Volkswagen to complete/ submit the needed paperwork in order to successfully obtain Illinois license plates on my vehicle. I am not searching for a refund or reimbursement of any kind. Just assistance with this situation. Thank you.

      ************* did in fact purchase a car on April 20th. On May 4th we finally received a copy of ************* social security card which was needed to complete the paperwork and now we are in need of an ST108NR to complete the title work. ***** is reaching out to the customer to see if we can transfer his plate which we can accomplish this very quickly with the ST108NR. We will keep helping this situation, but there were paperwork missing from the Customer from start.

      I took my 2014 Volkswagen Jetta to the *********** dealership repair shop to get the *** light issue fixed which was causing the vehicle to Bog down. After being charged $210 to diagnose the problem which I already told them what the problem was they charged me a total of over $1200 to fix everything but the problem when I receive the vehicle to vehicle was in worse shape than when I dropped it off it actually ran hot, just a few miles from the dealership, and I had to pull over and fix it myself. After taking the vehicle back to the dealership they then informed me that it was probably something else that was wrong with the vehicle and wanted an additional $1500 to fix it.. after denying their service because they robbed me the first time I then went home googled my problem with the vehicle watched a ******* video and was able to fix it for $110 myself.

      Customer dropped off vehicle at our night drop. He wrote on the drop off paperwork to fix everything. We contacted customer and he chose to fix certain things in his car. The breakdown was related to some of the things the he chose not to fix. At this time, I think we did everything following our process and do not think a refund is appropriate in this case.

      Yes, I would like to re-open the complaint and the response needs to be the after they gave me the vehicle back there. It has completely locked up and is now undrivable. We had to tow the vehicle to another mechanic shop, and he told me that the entire region has to be replaced because of the job that they did.

      To whom it may concern,

      Customer dropped off vehicle at night drop box, where as you can see he ok'd to try to fix the vehicle. We did what we were supposed to do. Unfortunately, older vehicles have other issues that can come up after one is fixed. I mean we fixed what he told us to fix, when the next issue came up, we did inform the customer what the issue was and the cost related to it, and he decided not to approve the second repair.

      Who issue that caused the engine to overheat was the vapor lock caused by your company or your mechanics if need be, I can provide a statement from the current mechanic saying that it was overheated because of a vapor lock.

      The volts wagon dealership and repair, and Lafayette did extra work to my vehicle that I did not ask for, and in doing so led to the vehicle overheating, and for the engine locking up, they are 100% responsible for me not having a vehicle. I have four children and no way to get to and from the grocery store to work or any doctors appointments or go anywhere. We are completely stranded having to rely on friends and family to take us everywhere, you charged me an outrageous amount of money to do very little work. And because of your negligence, the vapor lock cause the engine to overheat and when the overheated engine cool down it locked up now the engine is no good I think I am justified in requesting a refund , anybody in my situation who brought their vehicle to the maker of the vehicles, dealership and mechanic shop, would expect excellence in the repairs to the vehicle Lafayette volts wagon did not come through with any sort of corrective repair, and the vehicle ran terrible afterwards.
