**I originally filed this claim against the wrong company. I was given incorrect info saying the work was done by Appliance Repair Louisville/Skyfire. I now have the correct company so my complaint for that company needs to be removed*** Someone from this company came to repair my refrigerator. He said it was the compressor and he had one on his truck for this LG fridge. He replaced it and charged us $1099.00. Within a week, we noticed the freezer part was still not working correctly and my husband tried to contact him. He left numerous messages and emailed the company asking for a return visit. He finally contacted Sears and they sent out a repairman. We were told the compressor had been hard wired to the refrigerator, causing it to run all the time. Plus, it was not the correct compressor for the LG refrigerator. Sears refused to fix it because they weren't sure of the wiring. Also, the warranty was voided because of the wires being spliced. I contacted LG and they sent out a factory repairman who also wouldn't fix it. He explained in great detail about the wiring issue and also explained about the warranty being voided. He further explained the refrigerator is dangerous and could catch on fire if the wires weren't connected correctly. We had to buy a new fridge which is difficult for us because my husband and I are elderly and living on a fixed income. Because of this company, we were scammed out of $1099.00, our warranty was voided, and we had to buy a new refrigerator. We were unable to get one as nice as the LG due to the cost rise in the 4 years since we bought the LG.Initial Complaint

On Feb 1, 2022 "*******" came to check my ******* refrigerator/freezer for water that was frozen on freezer floor. He was certain that it needed a replacement main defrost board because according to him these boards last only 7 yrs. The cost would be about $600. However, he said a new refrigerator would be much more if I could even find one due to supply shortages. He said that he had a new defrost board on his truck; it would be simple to replace and came with a 6 mo warranty. I agreed to replace it. "*******" opened the back of the refrigerator, worked 10 min & said that work would fix the problem. He told me to unplug the refrigerator for 24 hours; some messages might show up on the refrigerator but to ignore them as the electronics were only resetting. The total bill was $642.59. (Labor - $99, Parts - $512.83, Tax $30.76) A couple of weeks later I realized the ice was back as the bottom bin was frozen to the freezer floor. Daily I called & texted ************. All I got was a recorded message "Text mail subscriber not available. Please leave a message". After many days the recording was "The number you are trying to reach is no longer in service". Daily I emailed ***************************** with no response. The board was never replaced & I am out over $600! ******* B. was sent thru a referral website ****************** @ ************* When I called to report my problem the man said he hadn't sent anyone to my address & maybe I was looking for *********** ********* **** *******. I checked my web searches and telephone calls for that day and verified I had the correct website & tel #. Since then I've found ****************** changes its tel number daily. (11 different #s & still counting!). The same man answers all calls with "hello" rather than any company name. Once you ask if this is xyz company he replies "yes"; that way he "services" a number of company names also. To resolve this I WANT A REFUND of my $642.59, including the sales tax I was charged.Initial Complaint

I used an on-line service, **********************, to find someone to repair my dryer. This referral service connected me with Appliance Repair Services. The tech arrived on time and repaired the dryer. The total bill was $751.03 which included labor, parts, tax fees, etc. Everything was fine until I later found that he had charged me $580 for a part that retails for $217. I can see a reasonable markup fee on parts, but a markup of $363 which is 147% is outrageous. I have made multiple attempts to contact this person, but he does not reply. The referral website says they are just a service and have nothing to do with the technicians they recommend. I would appreciate your assistance in getting my money back for the part. A refund of $250 would be reasonable for all parties.
