Date of incident: 5/8/23 I attempted to pick up or get paid for 5 pieces of clothes and 3 pairs of shoes that I dropped off at the store the day before. I was issued a credit slip (I was expecting cash) for $32 for 3 of the items and told they donated the rest because the items weren't picked up the same day. I was told that's their policy.They never mentioned the policy nor did they provide a receipt to me the day of drop off with the policy terms, even after I asked for a receipt that I signed off on because I didn't read it. The employee said they don't give receipts and I'd get a text, which I did. The text didn't mention the terms of their policy of keeping items and issuing credit slips if not picked up same day.They also have a sign posted on the door with their policies and nowhere does it mention the policy either. It simply said to pick up clothes by 7pm, which the employee told me as well since they don't do business after 7pm with buying stuff, although they close at 8pm. I was able to get there at 7:30pm but since it was after 7pm I respected what I was told and went the following day.Seeking a resolution, I explained all of this to the manager on duty, Becca, to no avail. I've called multiple times and left several messages for the owners seeking a resolution and they refuse to call back or get on the phone when I call. ***** told me she left messages on their desk to return my call.
