Incident Details: Eye Exam Appointment Date/Time: 9/14/21 at 1:30pm Situation: 1.After my sons eye exam, the store manager told us that, after the the insurance coverage, we either have to pay $140 for exam or $156 for both eye exam and contact lens. 2. The manager also emphasized that if we do not purchase any glasses or contact lens today, insurance would not cover anything next time if we come in to purchase them. Action:We made a call with our vision insurance company. The answers from the insurance company prove the *** vision store manager in ************ ** lied to us. She tried to coerce us to buy overpriced contact lenses and glasses. The store manager wasted 3 hours of our time. We know our insurance plan very well. We immediately knew she was lying. Result: We paid only $8 for eye exam with vision insurance coverage and walked out the store. We ended up buying the contact lens at ****** for free after the insurance coverage. Call to action: The store manager of *** VISION in ************ ** has serious integrity issues and violates the code of ethics and conducts. *** VISION must intervene and act promptly. Otherwise the reputation of *** Vision is at risk.
