Built new engine for work truck truck. Replaced clutch as a preventative measure because I haul trucks from ** TO CA/AZ. I spent a little over $1400 on the product, that was specifically designed for my application. Product was purchased December 28th, 2021. Product was installed first week of January ********* miles later(February 5th) the clutch failed, causing catastrophic damage to transmission input shaft requiring a rebuild to be operational again. Southbend only warrantied clutch DISKS on February 8th.(only option). Transmission was replaced when the disks sent to me under warranty were installed.Now, close to **** miles after the disks were replaced after warranty, they failed again. But I caught the issue before complete failure. Only option given is warranty the disks again, or sell me the SAME clutch again, but at a discount. For over $1400, a product should last longer than an oil change without failure.Business response

After filing a complaint with BBB ***************** called us and spoke with Manseil. We sent him another complete clutch kit, at no cost, on April 4th, and he was told the problem is with his transmission not our clutch. ***************** refused to believe that. There is obviously something terribly wrong with his truck when the clutch gets destroyed in just a month and then new discs were installed and immediately destroyed. We hope that the replacement clutch fixes the issues but if not he needs to have his transmission checked.
***************** got what he asked for, a replacement clutch.

This business took back a product they said they would inspect and warranty and have converted the product for their own gain claiming they dont have it when the shipping manifests prove otherwise. They are attempted to convert my property, this is fraudulentBusiness response

On 6/4/21 we drop shipped a K7010602-SS-TZ clutch kit to *************** that was ordered through our warehouse dealer Turn 14 Distribution.
On 6/29/21 a replacement was sent directly to *************** at no charge after he called us and was having issues with the clutch.
On 9/2/22 *************** sent back the clutch kit and bought a K70038-SS-Dx clutch kit FROM ** and it was sent directly to him. He installed this clutch and it has been working fine ever since.
On 10/20/22 *************** contacted us wanting a credit for the kit he sent back. This is when we found out that he had actually ordered the first kit from CSP Racing who then ordered it through Turn 14 to be shipped to ***************. We explained that he would have to go through CSP Racing to get his money back. CSP Racing would then have to get their refund from Turn 14 and we issued a credit to Turn 14. He didn't like that and demanded that WE refund him. We explained that we can't do that because he paid a certain amount to CSP who paid a lesser amount to Turn 14 who paid us a lesser amount and we would lose money refunding him. *************** then got nasty.
On 11/3/21 we received a dispute letter from his credit card company for $677. We disputed this as the credit card was charged for the clutch HE WAS USING and not for the clutch that was returned. And since he didn't buy the first kit from us he wasn't entitled to the credit. Since *************** is still disputing this I will assume that the credit card company found in our favor.The refund was issued to Turn 14 almost 3 months ago and, according to Turn 14 they refunded CSP on 10/26/21 so *************** has had ample time to contact CSP Racing for his refund.

Im still short a clutch, they took back my clutch along with the one they agreed to exchange and now try to pretend that it doesnt exist. Yes, I received a partial credit for the returned clutch, but not my other one.

I have no idea what else he is expecting. He disputed, again, after the credit card company ruled in our favor. I never received the notice of the 2nd dispute so they closed the dispute and took $677 out of OUR account. The $677 he was disputing was the price he paid for the FIRST clutch from Turn 14. The second clutch that we sent him was at NO CHARGE. The 3rd clutch that he bought from us is still in his car that he is currently driving. We aren't going to refund him for the free clutch and the $677 is the amount HE disputed with the credit card company so he felt that was how much he was owed. We are not only out the money for the first clutch that Turn 14 bought from us, by way of the credit memo that we issued them, and they used, but we are also out the $677 that was taken out of our account from the money he purchased the 3rd clutch with. He returned 2 clutches, the first one that he got the $677 credit for, and the FREE one. I don't understand how he thinks we still owe him anything. In fact, I believe he owes ** money! He has now ended up with an $801 clutch for only $124! All he had to do was follow proper procedure, which he refused to do, and because of that we're out $677. All he's doing is pulling a SCAM. I have uploaded all invoices, the credit memo, and the 2 credit card disputes showing that he received the $677.
