My Movers moved me on 3/9/23 to my current address. An end table that is solid oak was damaged (appears to have been dropped) and split the wood along the back. I have asked for it to be replaced. The claim was made on 3/23/23. I've inquired about it on April 8 and May 8. The person at the local store in ********* agreed that it is taking a long time. I inquired again today and received no response.Business response

In regards to the customer complaint, *************************, her damaged side table was repaired.
If I remember correctly, the original email(s) regarding her complaint were sent to the owner who is now retired and some emails/communications slipped through the cracks during the transition which leads us here I suppose.
We have a local furniture repair shop handle our damages. We provided the shop with Mrs. ******* contact, address, situation etc who then sets up an appointment to do repairs onsite. At that time I believe the shop was slammed with work and failed to make an appointment. Some time went on and then we learned that Mrs. ******* side table was still damaged so I went and picked it up, dropped it off for repair and then delivered it back to her home.

I moved on 1/13/22 from ********* to ***********, **. I hired my movers 3 men I asked if my furniture would be properly padded and wrapped before bringing the men on the job. I was told yes well apparently they can't honest because I now have new furniture pieces cracked and broken. They never informed me and my son seen the guys on the truck trying to put the leg back on the nightstand. They placed it in my home and remained silent they never informed me. None of my furniture was damaged before the move. All of my furniture is less than a year old. I have a broken leg on a new nightstand and a cracked new table in my living room. This is unprofessional on every level and to have the nerve to charge me over $2,000. I want to dispute this charge the items that they damages are well over the cost they charged me. I need help with resolving this.Business response

This is ****** we spoke earlier although I didnt get your name then. I wasnt on your move because it was a Northern ******* move handled out of ************* office but I did call to talk to the manager there after our conversation. He told me he is working to get a replacement plastic leg for the dresser but that the current plastic leg cant be repaired in the state its in. Waiting to hear more from here but I requested it be done sooner than later. Thank ************************************************* ****Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
The nightstand leg cannot be repaired its not detachable. Also, the coffee table cannot be repaired. I have asked if they cannot have the items repaired to replace them the cost I paid was table $727.59, nightstand $899.99. I was sent a $122.00 check Im asking for the remaining balance owed which is $1505.58.

We reject the offer to pay MSRP for the items mentioned. Customer signed 60c/lb released liability insurance and we are making good faith effort beyond the legally bound settlement to find a reputable repairman to fix the plastic leg. This is the first Ive heard of a table; please forward imaged of damage to ******************************* for further assistance in repair or insurance claim.

To my knowledge the insurance at $0.60/lb has been paid on the aforementioned items. Anything above and beyond the contractual agreement as signed will need to be requested of management. It is also my understanding that repairs and factory replacement items were/are being sought but I havent been updated on the situation for several weeks.Customer response

I cant read what this attachment says. Unfortunately we are unable to reach a resolution that satisfies both the customer and the company. Therefore we as a business chose to go with the parameters as stated in the contract we both signed
