I don't understand why this complaint got filed. I have spoken to this homeowner and thought we had come to an agreement. Here's the story:
The homeowner did call to have a grease trap cleaned. On our initial arrival to the property, our technician noticed raw human waste and toilet paper coming to the surface of the ground. That indicates a problem with the septic tank or ***** system or possibly the underground pipeline that goes to the septic tank from the home. The first thing to do is access the septic tank to diagnose the problem. Our technician was unable to locate the septic tank on that visit. The use of an electronic locater to find the tank was necessary.
The next visit included the electronic locater. While projecting the locater down the pipeline towards the septic tank, an obstruction in the pipe was noticed but the septic tank was ultimately located. We opened the tank to pump it as needed to be cleaned. We also ran sewer cleaning equipment and a sewer camera in the obstructed pipeline which allowed the back-up to be eliminated. [Side note: the pipe was fractured and broken causing the blockage]
The homeowner is complaining about the **** saying she only wanted the grease trap cleaned. A residential "grease trap" would be defined as a receptacle to receive only food waste from a kitchen or food preparation area. When we see raw waste and toilet paper on the surface of the ground, the problem is definitely not a grease trap problem.
My technicians did indeed search for this grease trap that the homeowner talks about to no avail. My conversation with the homeowner was left that we cannot locate a grease trap. If you will find it, I personally will come back and clean it free of any additional charges. In the mean time , the real problem is taken care of.
