08/25/2020. This company completed a project that cost around $10,000. They placed 2 sump pumps, a dehumidifier, placed vapor barriers in my crawl space and dug in the front and back yard to place piping for the sump pump to discharge. Fast forward to 10/01/2021. The pipe in the backyard became dislodged and everytime the sump pump went off water sprayed everywhere up against my house and was starting to flood. It took ***** 2 weeks to return my text message. By that time I had found a local contractor that would fix Mitches work that was completed incorrectly. I told ***** that I found someone local and he offered to reimburse me. Now two days later after the local contractor is set to dig the proper way and do the job correctly ***** all of a sudden wants me to wait almost another week and he would come fix it. He didnt fix it correctly the first time and it was supposed to rain everyday that week so no I wasnt waiting for him to fix it since he already agreed to reimburse me. The local contractor that came out told and showed me everything that was completed incorrectly. ***** used cleaner to glue together pvc piping, didnt even use cement. I sent ***** a copy of the **** since he had agreed to reimburse me and before he would send payment he texted me this statement that I had to agree to that stated he would be voiding all warranties since I had a different company fix his work. First of all he agreed to reimburse me so warranties should not be agreed upon to be voided in order to receive the payment I was told I would get reimbursed for.Business response

Issue was attempted to be resolved on 9/9 with customer failing to responding until 10/25. On 10/25, ***** contacted my business stating that she had reached out to another contractor and scheduled them. At that time she refused to let my business resolve the issue within a weeks time. ***** demanded payment for the contractor to complete the work, for which we complied. ***** was reimbursed $707.70 with conditions that our warranty would no longer be valid due to another contractor modifying our system without the opportunity to resolve the issue. ***** refused to allow us to pay the contractor directly. ***** would only accept payment to her account. We do not know if the contractor completed the work, however she seemed satisfied with our reimbursement at that time. She has not reached out and we believed this issue was fully resolved.
