I had a throttle body put on at my regular ************ was still having trouble with ************ regular mechanic was getting error codes & said it a electrical wiring that they don't work on so I had to take it to a dealership. On 9-18-2023 I took my truck to ***************************** told me I had two ground wires shorting out it cost me $565.99 to get the wires replaced I feet that was a lot just to fix two wires but I needed to get my truck.I got my truck back on 9-18-2023 & within 30 hours after getting my truck back it started to do the same thing I called All American Chevrolet Cadillac 9-21-2023 & told them it was doing the same thing they told me to bring it back & their check it out. On 9-25-2023 I took it out ************ checked it out & told me it was my throttle body but my throttle body was new though my regular ********************************* told me that they can put on a new throttle body for $950.00 I told them that the throttle body was still under warranty though my regular mechanic. Then All American Chevrolet Cadillac told me after I told them I'm taking my truck back to my regular mechanic that I owe them $120.00 for a diagnostic that they never told me about I told them that you should have told me about the diagnostic charge & then threaten me that I couldn't have my truck back. After getting the manger involved they waved the diagnostic fee & told me not to come back. When I got to my truck to leave they left trash in the driver side seat & floor so I though it on their parking lot. I feel that they messed up my throttle body when they put on the two ground wires but I can't prove it but it's weird that my throttle body needed replaced only after they worked on it.

      Hello,

We are very sorry to hear that the customer is unhappy with the service that was preformed on their vehicle. We strive to take care of every customer's concern we are met with. When the vehicle in question was first brought to All American we diagnosed an issue with 2 ground wires that were falling apart causing them to short out. We gain approval from the customer to move forward with the repair and proceeded to complete the repair. The vehicle was brought back to us and customer stated that the vehicle was not fixed. We immediately checked the repair we had done, and it was still intact and working normally. After further inspection we found that the connection between the throttle body and the "pig tail" that plugs into it was not as tight as it should be. Normally when using GM parts the two snap together with a tight fit preventing them from loosing their connection causing the vehicle to malfunction. We then recommended the replacement of the throttle body as well as the "pig tail" using GM parts to insure the proper connection. Customer informed us that the throttle body was just replaced and was still under warranty with another mechanic. In this case like many other instances when a customer has their vehicle looked at and diagnosed and decides for whatever reason to not move forward with a repair, we charge a diagnoses fee. In this case the service director got involved and because the vehicle had just been in to see us the fee was waived for the customer.

As far as the trash left in the vehicle: We place a paper floormat into every vehicle we service as well as a plastic seat cover on the driver seat to protect the vehicle as well as to keep it as clean as possible. If the trash the customer is referring to is the seat cover and floormat, We are very sorry the customer inconvenience, it was our attempt to take care of our customer's vehicles while in our possession.

From the information the customer has provided, it sounds like the throttle body they currently have is under warranty with another mechanic. Is this a case where the other mechanic should be asked to check their work? Were OEM/ GM parts used? If so, one or both parts are faulty and customer should be owed replacements. If OEM/ GM parts were not used I am not sure what that mechanic will warranty or not warranty. We only used OEM/ GM parts unless otherwise specified to the customer to insure the vehicle is getting the parts it was designed to run with. As far as the claim that the wire repair we did causing the throttle body to go bad. That is simply not the case. The wire repair we preformed has nothing to do with the poor connection between the throttle body and "pig tail" connector.

All American is more than happy to look at the vehicle again to ensure the wire repair is still intact and inspect the connection that we feel is causing your overall issue, all free of charge if the customer would like. Please let me know how we would like to move forward or if there is any other resolution being proposed.

      Thank you,

      *************************

No the company hasn't contacted me about this matter. Before I took my truck to All American Chevrolet Cadillac I took my truck to my regular mechanic & they checked out the throttle body & it checked ok on their diagnostic scan only after I took it to All American Chevrolet Cadillac the throttle body malfunction my regular mechanic put on a new throttle body & I haven't had issues sense. Like I said I cant prove that All American Chevrolet Cadillac damaged my throttle body but it seems funny that it was working before I took it out their. Even know the throttle body under warranty at my regular mechanic I feel that All American Chevrolet Cadillac should reimbursed my regular mechanic.I still feel that All American Chevrolet Cadillac should be investigated for auto repair fraud because if they do this to me how many people have they done this to.The trash that was left in my truck should have been taken out & not left in for me to taken care of that's why I through it on the ground in their parking lot.I have dealt with a lot of mechanics over the years but I have never dealt with rudeness & unprofessional mechanics as I had with All American Chevrolet Cadillac
