I recently moved into an apartment with my 2 year old daughter on a last minute basis because the house we originally wanted was shot up before we could even move in. When the new landlord showed me the new unit he told me they were still cleaning. He never mentioned how bad the roaches were to the point theyre in the refrigerator. He literally painted over everything with led paint including the entire floor of the unit and even the bath tub and I almost put my daughter in a tub full of paint. The cabinets are all completely molded out. Theres no water pressure at all. The heaters are literally coming off the wall. I never see any workers here cleaning or fixing anything and the building is old. I told him everything and how upset I was to move into this many problems right of the bat and the only thing he replied with is that I didnt have to send 30 messages to him. But nothing was ever resolved or said after that on his part. The building next door that I moved from was only 750 a month and everything was brand new inlcluding a microwave. I figured since the new apartment rent is 975 way above my old ones it was at least bigger but its literally the same square feet with worse qualities. The dryer takes 2 quarters extra every time you use it no matter what and tenants who lived here for years before me said it always been like that and never was fixed. The fact that not only are the tenants complaining about years of problems but imagine the problems this old building has now. Please send help for us. We do not deserve to be treated like this to make a living for ourselves. All we ask for is safe environment for our children and ourselves. My neighbors and I all have photos documented of the building and our personal units. All I can say is please help us there are children here. Hes also trying to make me pay more than my Voucher program stated on documents. He accepted me as no income but is still trying to charge me.
