On March 14, 2022 we paid Adoption Avenue via paypal $750.00 with transaction ID # *****************. This company is contracted to provide us with a monthly check-in to touch base on our adoption process. We paid Adoption Avenue on march 14th and failed to be contacted by anyone until Leanda from Adoption Avenue first emailed us to check in on May 23rd, 2022 more than 2 1/2 months post payment. I reached out to Leanda the owner of Adoption Avenue and asked for a refund to which she stated she provided us with several resources which is false. I explained to her that as a customer I felt we have not gained any benefit from adoption avenue's lack of communication. Adoption Avenue has failed to meet the contractual monthly check-ins. ************************* LSW (owner) has refused to refund $750.00 stating "this is how I make a living". Upon further review of the contract we have failed to receive; a 2 hour meeting consultation, and 4 hours training on attachment and trauma.Business response

I am responding to the complaint received by **** and ****. I had started services with them back in February 2022 after a three hour dinner meeting with questions, information and intellectual property exchanged. I had a signed service agreement with **** and **** for an entire calendar year. I met with **** and **** virtually for another hour discussing options, resources and our plan. I was under the impression I would hear from **** and **** after they found an agency to work with. The couple did not even update me they got married. I did not have ****** email. before he requested the refund. I checked in with them to help provide more agencies after they hit some roadblocks in agencies not taking new families for adoption. After I attempted to schedule and meet with the couple in person, **** and **** abruptly asked me for a refund. Admittedly, it there was a delay in finding an agency to work with due to unforseen circumstances (which i addressed in response when asked for a refund). After the request for refund, I offered to again, meet with the couple to discuss if we could resolve this issue with no response other than "I'll be contacting the BBB". In my response email as well, i offered to move the contract date further so we could have more time than a year since services had been delayed. In the agreement service that **** and **** ******* it states that I do not issue refunds as well. This agreement was signed in February.
I attempted to upload all communication but was not able to provide all emails since there is a limit on attachments able to upload. I have uploaded the last contacts I had with **** and ****.
