      Took a brand new stereo with wiring kits and harness for them to install about 2 years ago. My fiancee' ended up purchasing a remote starter for my birthday, so we had it all installed at the same time. There was a problem with my radio initially, so I had to take it back a couple of times before it was fixed correctly. At the time the tech told us that because of the type of stereo, he had to hard wire it into the brake due to the safety feature. Stereo started working fine after that. Since then, I needed work on my car and the battery was unplugged which caused my remote start to stop working. We take it back to them to have the remote start reengaged and after waiting for almost 2 hours, they told us they couldn't figure it out. That evening after we got home, our neighbors and we discovered the brakes lights were still on. Now my husband, disconnected the battery and called the next day, they said bring it back so they can look at the light issue. Two days later they cannot fix the problem, then tried to make up LIES and ******** told us that hard wiring the stereo to the brake never happened! She also said that since my car was a 2006 and the maintenance light was on that it was happening before we took it in to them. And it WAS NOT! First off we came to have the remote start reengaged and the light was NOT an issue. My 2006 car is a ****** and they didn't have a problem installing the stuff in the FIRST PLACE! Second of all, the light is because it's time for an oil change. She is stretching to make excuses and she didn't even bother to review the stereo model information and clearly doesn't know what she is talking about. My husband is ******, they told us to get the car it is our problem now! We will be taking it to a dealership, but we will also be seeking litigation for the problem they caused and do not know how to fix. I hope BBB can help us resolve this problem!

      This install was done two years ago on a 2006 ****** Avalon and the install had no issues at the time of install. The "brake" wire is the wire in the rear of the stereo that has ABSOLUTLY NOTHING do do with this customers braking system whatsoever. This vehicle has over 211K miles on it and has obviously other issues going on. If there was an issue with our install it would have shown itself at the time of install, not two years later. Clearly they were looking for a free auto repair. We went so far as to have our automotive technicians take a look at it, but this was out of his realm of work. Oh, and did I mention, the said radio and parts were all customer supplied at the time of install of the radio two years ago.
