October 2023 we hired EJE Home Solution to complete a remodel of our Master bathroom due to our shower drain leaking down into our half bathroom. We were told it would be a week to complete, and ended up being about 6 weeks until completed. Then November 22, 2023 we hired them to update the bath tub in our 2nd upstairs bathroom to fix the leaking drain that was causing water to come through a light in our kitchen below. They replaced the tub, drain and retiled the bath surround. Fast forward to May 9, 2024, we were getting water through the light again. I had a plumber (********** Plumbing) come out to look at the situation, originally they thought the bath tub drain was backed up. But they found that wasn't the issue because as they were testing it water was coming out of the light again. To be safe before the plumber would look at anything. I had to have an electrician come out to cut off the power to the light, so the plumber could cut a hole out of the ceiling to confirm that the drain was in fact installed incorrectly. I have pictures to confirm which were passed along to EJE Home Solutions. I spoke with ********* said they would take care of everything. He sent out his plumber to fix the drain at no cost. Then when it came time for them to repair the hole in the ceiling, he wanted to charge me for the repair but said he would take off the amount i had already paid to the plumber from ********** plumbing and the electrician. I questioned why I was getting charge and he stated because the ceiling already had water damage. The damage was already corrected before it leaked again, and the hole was put in the ceiling to find out why it was leaking due to EJE Home Solutions incorrectly installing the drain. I question the quote amount of $572 but never heard back from him. I have since had another contractor fix the issue for much less. I am looking to be reimbursed for the cost of the plumber $185, cost of the electrician $125, and drywall to be fixed $350.
