We bought a 2012 jeep wrangler, in april 2023. They wanted us to get a warranty. We normally don't get these extended warranties because my husband is a mechanic and can fix everything usually. With it having over sized tires and a 4 inch lift my husband thought it might be a good idea. We asked if it covers because of the lift and tires. We were told YES it covers up to a 6 inch lift for the plan we got. With in a month of driving the jeep we had to replace the battery, front and rear track bars, and the muffler even fell off 2 weeks after getting it. We then noticed that the brakes were going to the floor and making a noise and the steering was way off even for a jeep. we took to the jeep dealer. They looked it over agreed that upper, lower ball joints and break master cylinder all need replaced. the warranty company MVP came out to the jeep dealer and agreed they all needed replaced. They said the ball joints wont be covered do to the lift, but the break master cylinder will. I said the dealer who sold it said it would be. So I called Excel and they admitted they forgot to check a box. they said they would pay the fee. the next thing I know Excel is saying that MVP wont cover due to the dealer labor rates and I need to bring it to them to fix. I said that is strange because they are willing to pay those dealer rates for the break issue. I just did it . After Excel mechanic looked at it he called and said nothing was wrong with the jeep! the dealer and MVP said it was all wrong. So then they agreed to fix it, but said MVP wont due to lift. We said you were supposed to fix it and thought we brought it to you due to labor rates?? they did what ever they had to do and fixed just one ball joint side and the breaks and then a wheel bearing that wasn't bad. now the not bad wheel bearing is causing issues and they busted a axel seal when doing it but tried to say it was left over fluid. I think they are in with MVP giving them cheaper labor rates to get work
