On June 29th I ordered a quartz countertop for my laundry room from Rock Counter Kitchen and Bath through the salesperson ********* Through our conversation she assured me I would have no seam in my countertops and explained that the drawing and all paperwork showed that there was no seam present. On July 13th my countertop was delivered and installed. Upon inspecting the countertop I instantly noticed a seam present. I explained to the installers that I was NOT supposed to have a seam and they told me to contact my salesperson which I did immediately. When I spoke with ******** she agreed that she remembered our conversation and that she did express to me (along with the paperwork showing) that there wasn't supposed to be a seam present. She said she would look into the issue. Later she emailed me stating "this piece is in between 3 walls. We always add seams in this instance so we do not damage the surrounding areas. What I can do is set up a service call to send the installer back out there to try and get this seem a little bit tighter. Let me know what you think." After multiple emails and phone calls Rock Counter was showing that they were not interested in making this right and told me they would only offer a small refund of $300 and try to fix the seam. I reluctantly agreed after realizing that they would not do the right thing unless I took legal action. However, when the tech came out to repair the seam he explained to my husband and myself that although he could try to redo it, he was certain it wouldn't make it look any better. The tech believed that the previous installers did use the seam fitter, got the ******* tight as possible already, and did all they could to conceal it. Since Rock Counter could not follow through with our alternate agreement of attempting to conceal the seam, I demanded a full refund or a new countertop in 1 piece like my original order and all paperwork shows I was supposed to receive. They declined and refuse to help me further.
