Was assigned in late 2022 to work on my HVAC by AHS bc there was no heat. Temporarily fixed several times, and on one of those calls, I asked if I could get a new digital thermostat. The thermostat was brought into the house. The owner had a tech who was working with him. The tech dropped the wire through the wall. My son lives in my house and said the man asked if he could cut holes in my wall to install the thermostat and there was no other choice, so now I have 3 holes in my sheetrock and Airtech doesn't do sheetrock repair. Then, in March 2023, the owner notified me the unit needed to be replaced. He worked up a quote, which included $1450 for a "box" that would transition the old to tge new unit. AHS told me I would need to pay out of pocket, which I did. Unit installed, but not done. In January 2024, my son told me the unit wasn't heating correctly. The temperature never got over 60 degrees. Called AHS and they assigned to another HVAC company. Issue - no heat strips installed. I called Airtech and was told if I could get AHS to reassign to them, she could get heat strips without me having to pay $495. Took an act of Congress, but finally got reassigned. Still no heat need 60 amp breaker and heavy wiring. Had to hire my own electrician and cost me another $1000. Was at my house this past week and it was a warm day. Had thermostat set on 70. It was 74 in the house, so it's still not right. I don't know why I'd need another bigger unit like that for my house. During the call with the other HVAC company, the tech told my son that the "box" that I paid $1450 for was a joke and he should have never charged me that much, because it's more like a triangle because it only has 3 sides. The owner has yelled at me when I talked to him. I really want nothing else to do with this company, but I would like my $1450 back for a box that isn't a box. He created me more headaches than I have ever had working with anyone and it's still not right. Time to call AHS for $100 call.

We came out to your home a couple times and repaired your system. Due to the age and condition of the system, we finally decided it was time to replace your unit. We installed a more energy efficient system than the one you had. The $1450 was for a rainshield, connecting duct up in the crawl to the unit, pvc drain and electric work that was needed. The home warranty did not provide you with strip heat for your unit. You called us because somehow another company came out and was going to charge you $495. We told you to cancel that and get it moved to us. When we got the order from ahs we were able to get you the part and charge you nothing to install it. You were so grateful for us doing that you were crying and thanking us over and over. You asked us to install a thermostat for you and you had a bad wire and we could not pull a new wire because of the way yours was installed. Your son said to cut holes in the wall. We told you that we can't fix that, you would have to get a handyman or something. You said okay and do it. As far as you needing electric to power up the new strips, that is what you needed to make them work. We don't do electric work like that. I assume since you had the work done the electrician agreed with me. You were also upset that the other company who was going to charge you for the strips removed our unit for some reason and did not put it back the way it was. We have pictures of your install the way that we left it. We were not willing to reinstall it for nothing. We told you to have the company that did it to fix it. I'm sorry you are upset but I am not giving you your money back. We went out of our way to help you and frankly I am surprised that you even made a complaint. You were so grateful for us when we did work for you and didn't charge you. We would be willing to continue to work with you though. If you are having issues have ahs send us a work order. We do quality work, I have the pictures to prove it and we are easy to get along with.

AHS, whom I have a contract with recommended Airtech for a system check on my furnace and air conditioner. Airtech advertised air duct cleaning with free air conditioner service. I accepted the offer. On May 31, 2023 I paid them $375 to have the air ducts cleaned and the air conditioner serviced. I received neither one. The man who was sent did not remove the vents to clean the air ducts because he said it was not necessary to remove the vents to clean the ducts out. He just vacuumed over the vents. Also when he checked the air conditioner, he said there was no problem because the condenser seemed to be working and the only time it would need servicing would be if the condenser went bad. Nothing was resolved with the air vents. The dirt has increased. Instead he tried to scam more money from me to purchase some kind of gadget for my humidifier for $800, which I ignored.

Last October the Airtech technician came to my home in response to a home warranty claim on my furnace. He left explaining the problem with the furnace was a gas valve that was difficult to obtain and expensive. I heard nothing back from Airtech all winter despite calling to ask, furnace still broken. In March I learned that nothing had been filed by Airtech with the warranty company and my project ignored by Airtech. Today I asked the company owner to explain why I was ignored. He had no response for me other than to tell me he wouldn't do the warranty work without me paying an additional $550 out of pocket for 16" of plumbing that the tech never stated needed to be done in October, a ruse to recoup costs to his firm for the part I suspect. When I protested he offered no apology for ignoring my project, no solution to the problem, yelled at me and told me he wasn't doing my job. The company's behavior was unprofessional, the owner's demeanor rude and they left us cold all winter without care.

owner. I told you that I don't know why your call was not submitted in October. I apologized for it. We have not heard from you or the home warranty about your call until March. We then ran the call again to rediagnose the problem. Submitted to the warranty company what needed to be done. They decided that you had to pay out of pocket money not us. We explained that to you multiple times. Then you insisted on talking to me. I told you that you had to pay what they said. You asked me to give you the part and you install it, but your warranty does not allow for that. I explained that you don't have to take our diagnosis the warranty company will give you a free second opinion. You did not like that answer either. You were very rude to me, passive aggressive behavior. I told you that at this point I did not want to do any work for you now or in the future. If you have a problem with the cost that is between you and your warranty company. Hope you have a nice day and get this resolved. If you want you can purchase the part yourself on amazon and install yourself as you indicated you wanted to do. Take the part # off the valve....

I am rejecting this response because:

The company owner continues to refuse to explain why he failed to file the claim and do the work last October when ordered or offer remedy for his failure. An additional $550 was demanded by owner to do the warranty job to “remedy an unsafe condition” that the tech did not report being a problem on his first visit. I was not allowed to explain my position to the owner without being cut off, talked over and name called. After a 22 year career as a police officer successfully resolving disputes between unhappy parties as well as an MBA holding business professional it is my qualified opinion that this contractor/owner’s response to my issues have not been fair or professional, is *** ** ********** **** *** ** ******** ********* *** **** ** ** **** ****** ******** ****** *** **** **** * ********* *********** ********* ****** **** **** **** ** **** ******** *** ******** ********** ** *** ****
