My wife and I made a cash purchase of a home from this business in May. They have failed to set the home properly. One door won't even open which makes this place unsafe in the event of a fire. We have also not received title to the home. This is a fraudulent sale if they can't produce us a title.Business response

In regards to BBB complaint ID ********* the timeline of events has been pretty quick. Many factors impact a construction timeline such as weather, contractor availability, the customer's property accessibility and readiness for a home. We also have many customers and all construction projects are placed in the order that they are received. Furthermore, the timeline of events provided to you is not as our records indicate.
1. The Purchase Agreement was dated and signed on June 15, 2024, not in May.
2. The home was properly set on July 2, 2024.
3. Baird Homes was not paid in full for the home until July 5, 2024.
4. While the trades were being completed the issue with the door was turned over to the manufacturer on July 16, 2024, to be repaired under warranty. Some work and/or repairs can be handled by Baird Homes however, some repairs require the manufacturer service crew to maintain the customer's warranty.
5. We typically do the Title work once the construction is complete. However, the complainant did request the title and we have processed this request. The Title will be available within two weeks.
