They installed a remote start on my **** accura mdx in September or Oct of 2020 which failed to work in November 2021. It cost me $180 to have an improperly spliced wire that became detached and when I asked the owner for reimbursement he flatly refused and said he didn't care that his mechanic did a poor job on installation.Business response

I am the owner and salesperson that talked to ****************. He had vehicle repairs done at a local repair shop and after those repairs were completed the remote start didn't function anymore. He decided to take vehicle back to the mechanic shop as he stated it worked before he had them work on the car. Furthermore, blaming that they did something to the remote start while performing other repairs. It was then they performed such repairs on remote start wiring and charged him for such repairs blaming that our shop did a horrible job installing it. We would honor our one year warranty if such repairs were needed at our facility with one of our technicians. Our warranty does not cover paying other shops for such repairs. However, he could not provide me a receipt with date of purchase nor any invoices claiming such repairs performed. No paperwork what soever!!! Basically wanted me to take his word and just hand over money to him. Sorry the world doesn't work this way ****************. In addition, **************** chose to have another shop diagnose and then repair remote start without any prior acknowledgement to our company before problems and repairs were present. If he would have contacted us prior taking car back to previous mechanic, we would have discussed our warranty policy and would have recommended to have us look at it free of charge first!!! I understand his frustrations, however, I'm not even sure that our company even installed the remote start to begin with.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:I have the original installation receipt from his company and the mechanic who repaired the system is ASE certified and more than happy to share what he found.
And the owner never asked to see a receipt, he just flat out refused.
