  On 7/12/22 I paid AAA Contracting, *********************** a $40 deposit , then $575 prior to him leaving with the agreement that he would be back to finish the job the next day:His receipt said that he would:1. Clear all the trees around shed (Done, with branches left piled next to shed)2. Remove 3 ***** bushes (1.5 done)3. Majorly trim and elevate maple (DONE)4. Remove bushes outside the fence (Not done)5. Trim weeping head branches of weeping cherry tree (DONE)6. Ground clear & ***** rot (Not done)He left his chain saw at my home as collateral for him to return to finish the job the next day. When I called him the next day, he did not answer in the morning, so I went to work. He called me at 12:20pm 7/13, saying he had an emergency and needed his chainsaw and would finish the job that day. My neighbor let him in our house to get his chainsaw (with my permission). Since then he finished work at my neighbor's house, but has not returned to finish the job here, despite being asked every weekday. Today (7/19), he says that he cannot finish for 2 weeks because his truck cannot haul away the branches. Everyday it is a different excuse about why he cannot finish the job. He did tell me he was a member of the BBB of IN. He wanted to the work, 7/12 because he had a helper and wanted to get paid that day so he could fix his truck. Het got tired 7/12 in afternoon prior to finishing and said he had to get home to family that was when I asked to keep the chainsaw to ensure he returned.He did approximately 50% of the work and was paid $615. He should refund me $300 or finish the job.His helper who says that he has since fired had come to my door looking for work on 7/12, offering tree services. I really regret paying them prior to finishing their work, trying to help him with the money he needed to "fix his truck".

  Man and his helper came to house and discussed taking down trees and yard clean up. He told us with it being winter business is super slow and he really needed the work. He wrote up and invoice of all the recommended stuff to be done. We agreed on the one tree to be taken down that same day for $400. He was paid and started to work, but said he had to go get a new chain for his saw and never came back. We have attempted to call him with no answer. He did send a text message that he was now waiting on a battery for his truck, but he would come tomorrow and do the job. The next day he didn't show up so we tried calling again with no answer. We sent him a text to see if he was coming and he replied with he forgot he had another job to do but he could do it any other day of the week because he didn't have any work. NO show the next day. We text him saying that we needed the tree down and he said he would do it tomorrow or he could give us a refund. We told him we wanted the refund. We told him we could meet him for the refund. He never responded. The next day No show again. We text him and said we are going to be giving his information to the police and he replied with" I'll do it tomorrow I promise." We still have the tree.

  On 11/9/21, business (****************) of AAA Contracting, a tree service company and I agreed that he would remove 7 pine trees, along with the fallen leaves, from the back yard area of my residence, at ***** *****, **********. **************** indicated that he could provide me with a better price, if I were able to pay him up front for the job, so against my better judgment, I paid him $650.00 for the job. ****************, along with his assistant, cut down four trees, cut the fallen trees in sections, and removed two trees from the yard, leaving the remaining fallen trees in my yard. **************** left a message indicating Had to go dump but will finish tomorrow afternoon. ****************, to this date (12/12/21) has not returned to my residence to complete the job he agreed to complete. Initially, I spoke or had a text conversation with ****************, but more recently he has failed to return my texts or calls. Initially, he indicated he had been the victim of some unfortunate circumstances, his assistant (girlfriend), had left him, then indicating he suffered a back injury, and then, his vehicle, which he uses for business use, was in need of repair. After repeated attempts to get **************** to honor his agreement, he has not. On 12/01/21 I spoke with **************** by telephone, he indicated that he had obtained use of his uncles truck and he would be at my residence in twenty minutes. I was home and immediately went to my back yard area so as to not miss the chance to speak with *************** face to face. **************** never appeared that day, nor has he returned to my residence to do what he indicated he would do. The trees and leaves remain piled ** in my back yard after numerous failed attempts to have *************** do what he contractually has agreed to do, and in addition, he has been compensated for a job he, evidently, has left me to complete. Whatever help BBB can provide, would be much appreciated. Thank you
