We bought a truck from Dorsett Dodge on 07/11/2023, we live in ************** and drove to ******* to buy the truck. The truck price was $54,180.04 and we put $5,000 down. They miscalculated the tax amount and charged us more than we should have paid, almost $2,500 more. This amount was calculated into the price of our loan which is $49,180.04, which we now have to pay interest on. Had they done the correct calculations, the loan should be closer to the amount of $46,500. We have tried to resolve this with the business and they sent us a check for the amount of $2,300 saying we could apply it towards the principal of the loan. However, Stellantis (our loan company) doesnt allow principal payments towards the loan so we arent able to bring the loan amount down to what it should have originally been had they not overcharged us. The business also did not clean or detail the car before they sold it to us and when I ask that it be vacuumed, I was met with sarcasm and rudeness that it had been. When we took the truck into another business to get a hitch put in, we were notified of a safety recall of an intake air grid heater relay that should have been fixed before purchasing the vehicle. This recall was not disclosed to us at Dorsett Dodge nor was it taken care of there. The loan number we have for Stellantis is *****************. I do not know what to do at this point with being able to pay the correct amount of the advertised price when we purchased this truck.
